Cute tourist spot to check out. The fair has some tall rides to get a good view $$. Huge beach! Lots of space to swim but not many ppl were swimming. Parking was $$$. Sadly, we came across quite a few struggling ppl and some in really bad shape. I guess you'll find that anywhere but it changed how I felt safety wise... in the middle of the day on a Monday.

Amazing experience! This place has almost everything you could think of here! Very fun, kid-friendly, family events. A little pricey, but worth the experience for sure! Arcade games are available, roller coasters, carnival games, gift shops, great sit-down restaurants and so much more! I recommend riding the Faris wheel at night, such a beautiful experience to see all the city lights while you're up in the air, along with the ocean at night! You can get some great pictures while riding! Except to stay a minimum of 2 hours to get the full experience here. The place is pretty crowded, but not much of a wait at all for any rides or food, The service was great.

It’s one of the place must visit on your trip to LA . It’s about 30 min or so from Lax . It could be busy some time due to traffic and parking . Recommended parking near the downtown malls and not actual beach so you can cover both . Idea is if you don’t care about the malls then just park of beach and save on hour or two of the trip.

Now coming back to pier it’s a historic place almost more than 100 years old (1909 original ) what make it unique among other piers is length is 1/2 and width of 90 -100 meter at some location - which was done to add amusement park. I do not recall other pair having formal amusement park in US.

There are lot of food and other vendors on and off pier which add to shopping experience and entertainment for lot of folks . There are few bars as well .
It’s always busy here and lot of tourists.

I strongly recommend going early. We got there around 9 am, and it was not busy. We were able to enjoy the pier apposed to a few hours later when there were mass crowds of people flooding the pier. Plan your timing!
Beautiful architecture, beautiful purchasable items. There's not much to say other than "Yep, it's a gift shop" and a gift shop with good service. You can buy Balboa Park passes at the shop, which I highly recommend to those who live two hours away. A great start to entering one of California's most beautiful city parks!
It's a place to start the golden bridge walking trails, here we have less parking space, here we have some quick bites and most walking trails and cycling. We have public rest rooms.

The buses doesn't exist. I paid for a round trip ride and the buses there aren't anywhere. Not in Port Authority 8th Avenue 41st in Manhattan and not anywhere. Biggest scam in new York.

The company doesn't exist. I bought 2 tickets for Woodbury Commons and the buses doesn't exists. I called them they said that the bus will come for an exact spot but after 2 hours nothing. I went to Woodbury Commons with Usa Coaches and came back to Manhattan with an Uber.
Sat outside in the yard for a bit. It was nice. Went inside after to get some water. Loved it. Very cute with souvenirs and maps.
Nice to have covered outdoor seatings after a walk in the park.
Nice jumping off point for a day hike. But I warn you now....BRING INSECT REPELLANT!
Download the trail maps before you go, they have paper ones there, but they are photocopies of copies.
The White House Visitor Center offers a fascinating glimpse into the heart of American democracy. Through interactive exhibits and historical artifacts, it provides insight into the presidency, the First Families, and the iconic White House itself. While not the actual residence, the center's immersive displays and informative guides offer a unique educational experience. From learning about the history of the building to gaining an understanding of the presidential role, it's a must-visit for those curious about the nation's leadership and its impact on the world stage.
Cool gift shop with some history. Parking can be extremely tough, patience is required. I would definitely bring a jacket as it can get pretty windy by the bridge believe it or not. It is definitely a very cool experience to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a great day the day I came. Had a lot of fun in the sun and cloudy day.

A very popular local and tourist spot. Parking has gotten so much better with availability on the pier and close by beach parking. Tons of rides, eateries, activities, and places to hang. There are day passes as well as all acces annual pass as well ranging from $20 for kids to $40 for adults. Annual pass is $99 standard. A fun place with family and friends of all agree groups.
Amazing view point for Golden Gate Bridge! Must visit. Parking is bit an issue sometimes.
Nice trails. Clean maintained.
Only sounds of birds.
Great tour. It's humbling to think about all the history that has occurred in that building. Don't be afraid to try to get in earlier than your assigned time. A Park Ranger gave us that advice. We had an assigned time of 12:30 on a Thursday and got in at 10. That really helped us with the rest of our day.
Nice stop to get some A/C and some info. They have a fancy gift shop and stamps for your passport. You do need to go through airport type security, but it goes quick.

Beautiful beach pier on the west coast! Easily top 3 things to see in Los Angeles. Very lively with action at every step. The pier rides are a must do especially at sunset. There’s nothing like the pacific coast. Gift shop merchandise is cute too. If I lived here this would definitely be a date night spot. Fun place for couples and family!

It’s a cool and iconic place to walk around. It’s one of those “been there, done that” places though - I wouldn’t intentionally return. But the one visit I did have was fun and the views of the ocean and beach, stunning. Loved the little store at the end of the pier marking the end of Route 66 with some cool souvenirs. Vendors around sell food cart eats and souvenirs as well.

Worth checking out at least once!
Totally charming visitor center and shop with a lovely array of distinctive souvenirs and gifts. In a most beautiful historic building across from the Chess & Checkers House, also recently restored and a delight.

On the day of my visit, though, I was taken aback when the staff member at the cash register sharply called out to me not to pull closed the door behind me, since it had an automatic closing mechanism. (It was an intensely hot and humid day, so I'd made a point of closing it to keep the heat out and save energy.) A moment later the next visitor did just what I'd done upon entering, and again the staffer let out a scolding, saying the fellow would break the door by manually closing it! Very rude! (Why they don't simply put a sign on the door is beyond me; this must happen all day long in the summer months!)

Absolute disaster.
After buying online your bus ticket, you will get information about departure from Port Autorithy Terminal, where you get information that the company doesn’t exist anymore. But you can go outside to the streets and look for somebody ,,in red vests” to maybe find out something about the nonexisting bus - there are many of them in red vests, but no one knows about Citysights ny.
We have written to citysights ny support (e-mail) to get our money back and no one replied. It’s more then a week now and no response.
So I highly recommend not to buy anything.
It's amazing how it was built, walking across the bridge was a great experience, and you will have memories of pictures from both sides.
nature center was very peaceful and calm. there wasn't too much to look at but it was certainly interesting. we saw stick bugs, taxidermy animals, a turtle, two snakes, and even cockroaches. there's also a whiteboard that you can write what you saw outside, which i thought was pretty nice and interactive. the staff are also very nice and helpful; they showed us the animals and gave information about them.

tip: if you ever see an animal outside that you don't know, ask one of the staff there and they'll be happy to help you!
Santa Monica Pier is fantastic place to visit both for tourists and locals. I'm sure locals don't come here on a busy weekend evening but our friends who live in Malibu come here quite a bit when its not crowded. It really is a fun and historic place... from being the last stop on Iconic Route 66 to the food shops available, street food, street performers and fantastic sunsets, this pier is huge with tons of life and activities.. You can easily spend 4 hours here so plan accordingly. The parking can be tricky as the weekends are very very busy but there are many underground nearby parking lots and if you don't mind taking a walk there is lots of parking deeper into Santa Monica away from the beach. The pier is just lots of fun and easily top destination when visiting Southern California. Also, the cost of trinkets and souvenirs is not that high since there is a lot of competition. Overall people are very friendly and patient.. everyone is here to enjoy themselves and eventually wait for the beautiful sunset.. so plan to get your spot on the pier to record an amazing California sunset.
The White House, located in Washington D.C., is an iconic symbol of American democracy and a must-visit for history enthusiasts. The architectural beauty and historical significance of this presidential residence are awe-inspiring. The guided tours offer a glimpse into the rich history and political heritage of the United States. The meticulously maintained gardens and grounds surrounding the White House provide a serene atmosphere for visitors. While access to the interior may be limited, the exterior view is still impressive and makes for great photo opportunities. The White House stands as a testament to the country's leadership and is a symbol of the democratic values it upholds.
Nice place, but they close the restrooms way too early when many people are still at the park.
The nature center itself is usually closed to the public.
Trails are nice, restrooms not reliable after 5 PM.

A lot of information about the White House
Here you can know a lot of information about the building, interiors and people who lived and live in the White House. Everything is very interesting. Some information is surprising, some is funny.
The visit takes approx 1-1.5hours If you want to read and see everything inside. Be aware that center closes at 4PM.
The Dairy Visitor Center is an attractive building in a very lovely setting. I think it was originally a restaurant that served fresh milk to children in the park. Today it’s a gift shop with lots of souvenirs and some information. It’s nice to look through the items and buy something if you like.
Our 8th grade DC trip was vastly improved by Pat Abler's knowledge, passion, and willingness to connect with our students. She was full of interesting facts and stories that made our 8 hours together at Arlington and multiple DC Monuments an enjoyable and memorable experience for both the students and chaperones alike. Going to DC? Don't go it alone, get a great guide like Pat!
🇺🇸🇧🇷📸One of the best experiences I've ever had, I've always seen the White House in movies and now personally I was very enchanted. The place is great and well organized. You need to schedule the visit, they have private and public tours (the private tour you need to know someone from inside the White House to help you take the private tour) but the public tour is also good. Need US ID or passports for tourists. If you come to DC for sure the white house is one of the best attractions to visit. if you want to know more about Washington DC follow me on instagram. @claudiophotographyeua.
Looks like they've remodeled and have more unique offerings for souvenirs. Have something for everyone in all price ranges. Very nice!
The quality of the souvenirs was poor and the cashier was rude and as I paid cash he was quick to take the balance of the change for a donation to the park before I had a chance to answer. Poor form.
This is a nice spot to see the Golden Gate Bridge. However, parking an RV may be challenging as it is extremely busy and small parking lot. I didn't go into the welcome center. I just quickly walked in and took a few pics.
Judy was the best!! Thoroughly enjoyed both tours we had with her and how much knowledge she has about DC! Give her raise!
It's a really cool castle that I was really excited to go to but couldn't because they were remodeling :( but overall it was really cool
Wonderful grounds, gardens, buildings and art museums
I only visit when bringing a friend from out of the area but I’ll have to say my most recent visit was the best. I actually found parking (it’s a small lot and you pay in 15 minute increments by their app or online. It’s $5 a hour or $1.25 for every 15 minutes. The day was beautiful, No wind and sunny. Great views of Alcatraz because there was no fog. We watched boats and people surfing at the beach below from the bridge for a while before heading into the little gift shop. For those who have never been there is also a cafe with a great view.
The Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center is a great place to start your visit to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The center provides a wealth of information about the history and construction of the bridge, as well as tips for exploring the area.

The staff at the Welcome Center are friendly and knowledgeable, and can provide helpful advice for planning your visit. The center also offers a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs and mementos of your trip.

One of the highlights of the Welcome Center is the stunning views of the bridge and the surrounding area. There are several observation decks and vantage points where you can take in the scenery and snap some photos.

If you're planning a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge, I highly recommend starting at the Welcome Center. It's a great way to get oriented and learn more about this iconic landmark.
nice relaxing Balboa park in San Diego
Amazing gardens. Can't enter due to remodeling, please plan accordingly
Really well done visitor center! We got junior ranger badges, and visit the gift shop. Which had a large array of books; as well as other trinkets! The exhibits are cool and show different obscurity’s of presidents and events. I really enjoyed the history of the White House and presidents! There is a security check to get it, but food and drink are allowed in. The bathrooms lacked quality, but could be fixed with some TLC!
White House Tour Memories

I recently had the opportunity to take a tour of the White House, and it was an experience that I will never forget. The tour was well-organized, informative, and incredibly engaging from start to finish.

As I approached the iconic building, I was struck by its grandeur and history. The White House is a true symbol of American democracy and seeing it in person was a surreal experience. The tour began with a brief history of the building, which was fascinating to learn about. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions about the White House's history and architecture.

As we made our way through the various rooms, I was struck by the beauty of the interior design. Each room was decorated in a unique style, and it was clear that a great deal of thought had gone into the design of each space. It was also interesting to learn about the various functions of each room and how they are used by the President and his staff.

One of the highlights of the tour was seeing the famous Oval Office. It was incredible to be standing in the same room where so many historic decisions have been made. Our guide shared stories about some of the most notable moments in the Oval Office's history, which made the experience even more memorable.

Overall, I would highly recommend taking a tour of the White House. It's a unique opportunity to see a piece of American history up close and to learn about the inner workings of our government. The tour was well worth the time and effort it took to get tickets, and I would definitely do it again if given the chance.
I visit often, but this time was the best! It is a good place to start when traveling with parents. In the spring, I set up plan to come with my mother again.

I always visited only high points on the ridge of North area. This time, I visited first this point, new place with my parents and I was very satisfied, before cross the bridge!

This place, Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center, is always crowded on weekends. So~~ In weekend I couldn't go because it was difficult to park, so I visited on a weekday.

If you just look at the bridge, it is no different from any other bridge in the world, but the weather here, the scenery beyond the bridge, and the atmosphere are added to make everything enchanting.

The tourist shops on the Golden Gate Bridge are also fun, and the cafe of Equator coffees on the bridge are also nice.

Hope people enjoy both directions of the Golden Gate Bridge from Mill Valley part and in San Francisco! Ah, Up and Down view also.
Nice trail and a good hike next to the city! We walked for a bit more than an hour, but I am sure there’s more to it! We will come back! Recommended!
Balboa park is pretty big, so it's ideal to stop by here to start your exploration.
I would not call this a visitor center as there are no restroom for visitors. As other have mentioned the people at the front desk aren’t very friendly, I greeted one of the women at the desk and she didn’t even say hi back….oddly the guards/officers with the riffles are more friendly and personable… Also the sign in area is dark and gloomy and reminds me of a clinic
Wanted to go to the visitor center here. Also enjoyed the displays here beautiful building.
Best place to visit at night. They have heaters in the sitting area so you can get comfortable. Less crowded on weekends.
Great experience. Thank you for helping us out last minute.
The building has a lot of information to offer about the Smithsonian’s, they also contain a little bit of artifacts to view of what all the Smithsonian’s have to offer on the inside. Also has a gift shop, restrooms too. Good place to stop by and relax for a bit and away from the hustle and bustle of the museum traffic/ crowd. The grounds are very pretty with lots of flowers on the grounds. The flowers smell really good!

I was sold a City Sightseeing New York ticket at Battery Park in New York on July 7, 2022. I wanted to take a boat trip to the Statue of Liberty.

Screen I was sold a bus tour and a boat tour. But there was never talk of a bus tour. I complained relatively quickly to the local seller. That was also done. I did not take a boat tour or a bus tour and to date I have not received a refund. Communication with City Sightseeing New York was extremely difficult and very incompetent. I have done a City Sightseeing bus tour in every major city so far and will never do it again.

thanks for nothing
Beautiful museum/information center that provides an excellent background of how the Smithsonian set of museums came to exist. The building itself is fantastic and they have displays and sort of random exhibits from the multiple museums from the area. It is nice in that it is not as crowded as many of the other museums, is cool, and provides an oasis where you can relax from the chaos from the other museums. Friendly staff and clean restrooms which is great as they seem to be rare in DC.
One reason it may be "not too busy" is that they seem to have set up a variety of bureaucratic obstacles to prevent entry and discourage visitors. From an overly detailed two sided form to rejecting the same form because the ink is the wrong color (which was not previously stated) to a general attitude of "why are you bothering us", and then yelling at a prospective visitor, this may be worth skipping. It seems that, here at least, "public servant" is a VERY loose term indeed.
Fantastic customer service! We were lost trying to find the hidden golden treasure Railroad museum. Thank you for helping us with directions and providing us with a Balboa Park map 🍀☘️
Nice building and nice view but not too much souvenirs and a bit overpriced.
Subject Line: Corruption Within The New York City Department Of Hygiene And Mental Health/Corrections Unit. This is the "True" Story, about a talented and "Gifted". Afro American Writer, who's rightful Born Birth Certificate, has been held up, for around 4yrs now...and still counting. I been made, to feeling like. a "Dog", fecthing his favorite bone..."I AM NO BODY'S DOG!. I have also paid out to the amount of $175.00 but still, "No" services were ever granted to me, for 4yrs now...and still counting (the Red Flags, had started to go up). The Corrections Unit
has not only "Humiliated" me by, the continued request for Documents ( in which I have been nothing but "Corruptive"), but still no services were ever granted to me and again, I knew that something was very wrong here ( but still), I knew that I could not give up. I have also (through out these years), I have been given "Misinformation", that also lead to, "THE LOSE OF MY DRIVER'S LICENSE" here in Ga , I have also requested for a "Full Refund" from an acting Manager from The NYCVR/CU...this is what he had said, "A Non- Refund Policy" for the $40.00"(and then of course), there was a battle over the phone, as I have been nothing but "Paitent"and "Corrective" throughout this "Unprofessional" and "Horrible" ordeal. I have a 9tr old daughter, whom I must continue to take of, but how am I to do so, without any ID?😒 A FULL INVESTIGATION, SHOULD BE PUT INTO ORDER, AGAINST THE NYCVR/CU.🤔

My wife purchased on Groupon for use the next day. We waited nearly 40 minutes and then on hold for 20 minutes with CitySights to determine what was going on. Turns out, the buses aren’t running today. They refused to even discuss a refund and the lack of buses today was nowhere in evidence when we purchased the tickets.

Extremely disappointed and would advise others to steer clear.

As an update, Groupon agreed to refund the charge, but leaving the review as CitySights did not.
The welcome center has the most miserable unfriendly people I have ever delt with working there. I was trying to obtain a visitors day pass and parking pass and was talked down to and treated as if I was doing something wrong. Some of the workers were maskless while forcing mask on others trying to sign in. Highly unprofessional and a terrible way to start the day.
I love coming here for peaceful and fun walks. Often, when I get too lazy to finish the trail, I create my own trail(shortcut), and it becomes a little adventure!
I have encountered so many deers as well as other animals such as a garter snake, which gave me quite a scare!
As Faye Comer (another reviewer for this place) stated this visitor center is in fact very close to the original bolt placed in the 1800s. To read a more in depth background of the bolt, check out her review. I took more zoomed out photos but I’ll leave the treasure hunting to you!
Had wonderful service at the RAPIDs/CAC office. Very helpful and pleasant people working there. However, it's sad to see that these people are basically working in a closet. How is it that our United States government can't provide a more pleasant and comfortable working environment especially to those in service of our military families. This is very sad.
Great place to hike, trail maps and super clean rest rooms. Professional staff. They are very organized and strict on covid protocol 👍👍We hike it all the time. love doing trail maintenence hikes with the staten island hikers to show our respect to the park!
Nice walking trail. Great way to spend time with family at this time. Best time to visit, probably early morning, nice weather by the water.
It was a good Trail for a hike with the kids. Especially during quarantine we really appreciated to find this park, There were not a lot of people everybody was keeping to themselves if they were a. There is free parking available and also those a sign for everyone to wear a mask. The only thing is it's such a huge park a definitely takes more time till discover it also we probably could have found more such as a Palm. Recommend this for a good trail at walk.
Honestly couldn't think marine was that beautiful, I loved biking there and around, it felt like I took a pause and left the city for a couple hours. Very peaceful and relaxing and a great spot for pics. Cute date idea as well!
What a beautiful park! We took the Nature center trail, a very short and easy to do with a walking toddler! Trail is well marked, we let our little one run around finding the next N. So pretty and wonderful, nature right at your backyard!
Staten Island is a hidden gem!
Wanted to also mention the sparkling clean restrooms at the Nature center itself, and how well kept the entire place is.
A Great Place to Experience America's Greenbelt right here in Staten Island!!! The Center has activities for Kids, Adults and Everyone and every like in the Great Outdoors!!! The Staff is the Best !!! Always looking to Help with Directions on your Hike & Amazing amount of Activities!!! Parking and Restrooms are available !!! Staten Islanders take the Massive Park for Granted so it's never overcrowded. Amazing Natural trails and Hills to Climb. No Bikes are Allowed so you might want to go to Wolfs Pond Park for that. Great for Whole Family!!!

A trip to NYC is always a good adventure. This trip we hopped on the Gray Line bus and took the uptown route. Our guide Ron was knowledgeable and entertaining. He was everything you think a New Yorker should be: accent, humor and fast talk.
You need to be on Ron's bus.

Best money we spent in NYC. Love the hop on hop off tours. Second time we've visited here and second time we've purchased the CitySights tour package. Each tour guide was knowledgeable and fun! We would not have viewed and learned about the sights and history of this great city without this tour. The package price with attractions included are a huge value and allowed us to see so much more than if we had purchased individual entry tickets. So much to see and do and the guides were helpful ambassadors all the way. Fantastic!
A beautiful place to go when on the national law.

This Smithsonian castle has public restrooms, gift shops, exhibits (a really unique exhibit on birds in one of the rooms), and a interactive information center. The information personal that are there to provide assistance are also very friendly.

It will take about 1-2 hours to get through the exhibits on the mail floor.
A must see if you are staying any where near the Navy Yard. Yes, you have to get vetted to enter the base, but you can download the form before you go and it is easy to fill out and once there takes less than 10 minutes to get clearance. The base is easy to walk, the museum is a must see, not big but filled with interesting Navy/Military items and even some Baseball memorabilia. The courtyards display some amazing artifacts, 16 inch gun, 26 inch amour plating from Japan.
The staff is really nice here. They give you map and introduce details for you. We learned from them that there are many free Garden also know there is a free museum. They also suggest us to go to the international house. They suggest desert and rose garden to us. And indeed they are all really nice. Thanks for the tour they provide

We were specifically told by the customer service person online, that the boat tour which was in the package, would include going under the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Unfortunately it was not the case. No explanation whatsoever. The weather was excellent so definitely it was not the cause.
Regarding bus tours: make sure you do the night tour. It's spectacular.
The architecture and garden area are amazing. So many exhibits at the Smithsonian Museums we’re closed during our visit. True for the Castle as well - large parts were closed (gift shops are always open though 😎).
I like the architecture. A great resource for information about all the Smithsonian Museums. The Castle has a cafe, restrooms, and rest areas. You can browse select exhibits from the various Smithsonian Museums here. Also inside the Castle you will find some zoo exhibits as well.
This base has about 5 different entrances, so make sure you're headed in the correct direction. Visitors center is the last entrance, you'll see O st gate. You get signed in pretty fast, depending on your reasoning for your visit. Parking is the only hassle/reason why i didn't rate a 5. There are barely no spots to park in unless you have a pass. I normally find parking after driving around in the garages for about 15-20mins, so arrive early if you have an appointment. Otherwise, great base, great people, and great customer service.
Make the Visitors Center your first stop when visiting the multiple museums, walks, gardens, art galleries, and events in Balboa Park. Their free park map is quite helpful. In addition to a manned by volunteer info. desk, you can buy some small gifts and cards in their gift shop.
Very efficient and friendly staff. The amount of wait time for ID cards was fairly low as compared to other offices in the DC metro area. (I may not want to say that, though, as it might jinx the place in the future:-) )

A pleasant and scenic path.
A slice of quiet in Brooklyn.
Great views and a lot of different types of birds.
I went in here trying to get a permanent parking pass, as I’m there roughly once a week, and it’s a very minor hassle getting a temp pass every time I’m on this base. Although the perm passes are reserved for people that actually work on the base Mon-fri only, the beautiful African American lady that waited on me was so polite, sincere, and personable in telling me the slightly bad news, that she only made my day nicer anyway. I’m not one to write a lot of reviews, but her totally positive disposition and genuine friendliness made me wanna say something about it. I admire her attitude in working a sort of “customer” related job. Bravo, lady. Keep being a sweetheart. :)
Another must stop visit in an architectural tour of New York's civic center and financial district. Beautiful Beaux Arts building, currently house's New York City's record archives. In the heart of Civic Center.
This park is simply amazing. The workers at the visitor center are friendly and full of wonderful information. The park itself is a relaxing Haven on Staten Island. There are quite a few trails which lead through breezy forests and lush golf courses. I'm sure the fall colors here must be gorgeous. The trails and walking paths are well maintained and not at all crowded. All trails are dog friendly and there is even a water dish at the visitor center. Great park! I will be returning for another visit and walk through nature.

Went kayaking and paddle boarding over the summer, and it was super fun. The water is clean and flat, and you have a huge area to explore. Definitely felt like I wasn't in Brooklyn.
