Unpretentious nook offering Canadian comfort fare, like poutine & smoked-meat sandwiches.

Great food, it really is an open kitchen! The burger was really good. 5/5 would recommend. Def will come back đ
Love this place. Big portions and good value to your meal!
Avenue Open Kitchen is a gem of a diner, exuding charm and warmth from the moment you step inside. From the inviting ambiance to the friendly staff, every visit feels like coming home. The menu boasts a delightful array of breakfast classics, but it's the eggs and bacon that steal the show every time. Cooked to perfection, each bite is a symphony of flavor that leaves you craving more. What truly sets this establishment apart is not just the exceptional food, but also the impeccable service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for. With its unbeatable combination of incredible food, top-notch service, and cozy vibe, Avenue Open Kitchen never fails to exceed expectations. A five-star experience that keeps me coming back for more.
Holy Kamoly Batman!! This pastrami-stacked masterpiece on rye is so perfectly crafted, it hits hard on flavor and the touch of Dijon mustard is a perfect note, leaving your taste buds applauding for an encore. Also quite filling! Thank you so much!
What a fantastic experience! The diner-look is brilliant. I love sitting at the counter and eating my breakfast while watching the chefs cook their scrumptious food. I highly recommend this place. A true gem in the heart of downtown Toronto!
Stopped in here in a Thursday morning for breakfast and so glad we did! Itâs a small hole in the wall but what a gem! This is a classic city diner! The sugar pourer and mismatched salt and pepper shakers are so nostalgic and typical of a small diner. The open kitchen is legit!! We sat at the counter (there were no empty seats, a great sign)! The server was super nice and attentive! I ordered the cheese omelet and home fries with rye toast. I asked for the home fries to be well done but that was not really in the cards since the flat top grill was constantly in use and the home fries are legit potatoes with no oil so theyâd have to cook for so long! The cook explained it to me after and i appreciated that he doesnât add anything to them. The omelet was good, exactly what youâd hope for at a diner. My mom loved her BEC on rye! The coffee is ground fresh on site and was good. The prices are reasonable and you can really feel the love from these guys!
I have been to many fancy restaurants in toronto, but the best place is here I think. The foods are delicious and the owner is really kind. I think I can go here everyday morning before I go to work. The food is not that expensive and it's actually delicious. I miss this place.
