My mom has dementia and macular degeneration. I was not allowed in the room with her. She did not remember the Dr coming in the room at all. When they finally allowed me back there she had wet the bed and was freezing cold her husband had put her in a light bathrobe as he has Parkinson's and can't get her dressed. He even forgot how to call 911 in his panic.
I strongly believe I should have been let back there as maybe an interpreter or some loophole.
There was a long wait for many people, but not NEARLY as long as Mobile Infirmary where I hope to never return to.
I like the USA hospital these days a lot they have wonderful providers!

My visit was very disappointing and disturbing! Got to the ER about 3, took my friend to the back about 5. I was trying to get back to see my friend and how they were doing when this man started writhing on the floor of the ER waiting room in the fetal hacking up, at the top of his lungs, liquid, over and over, louder and louder. This went on for 4 minutes at least. No one was helping him. Employees were going the other direction. Finally a woman came from the back and gave him a vomit bag and walked away. He kept wretching loudly. Finally 2 people came and helped him to the back. I was then told I could go check on my friend. They did some tests, 3 hours later I asked about results and was told there was one doctor working and 36 patients. It would be awhile. It was after 11pm before a doctor looked at the tests and told us anything. Checked out about 11:30. One Doctor!!!
Dont go here for emergencies, they have had us wait for about 5 hours when it was only us and 2 other people in the waiting room when my grandma has been having signs of having a mini stroke and still to this moment havent sent us back for her to get help.
Had to take 90 year old mother to emergency room for covid induced pneumonia. Emer. Rm was very busy but staff did an excellent job. Mom was taken to 12th floor covid ward. The staff there also did an excellent job. Thank you for taking good care of my mom Providence Hospital.
I went for an infusion and the staff were nice and helpful. It was a pleasant atmosphere.
