The place is still as good as it was many years back. Hope the road in front of it gets smart quickly,it's affecting the business bad.

Food was good. Crowded during lunch time. The sardines were great (deep fried).
Easy accessibility. Limited parking space. Variety sea food options available. Reasonably priced tasty food.

We had ordered biriyanis. Too much masala and big rice looks like boiled rice. Also rice overcooked and sticky. Too costly as compared to other restaurants. The cheapest thing i ever experienced that they demanding for tip.
Open house is famous for their chilli chicken and porotta combo, which is hands down the bestest ever. It's better to opt for take away, as there are limited seating arrangements, which maybe occupied during peak times. Parking might be an issue.
I used to visit this place during my childhood days and liked the food back then especially chill gobi. Recently, I went there to have food and ordered parotta and gobi Manchurian..midway after having food, I was shoked to find a small cockroach in the curry..it was such a horrible experience for me I left the food there and reported to the staff..will never ever go there for sure..poor hygiene and this is something which is unacceptable
A casual place to dine in with average food. We went there while we were in Trivandrum during lunch. We ordered a couple of items, biryani, rice, noodles, raita, mix veg, and our friends ordered some non-veg items. Of these noodles was the best of all, and the rest of the items were average.
So it's like, you can be there to fill your stomach but may not be Abel to satiate your hunger. The place is economical and so is the food. But you get an air conditioned place to sit, the seating arrangements are good, and the service is ok.

How can the food can be so plain...ordered meals and two types of fish fry. Fish was a decade old dead fish. I wonder how someone can make all Currys in same taste. Atmosphere is very unhygienic. Make me puke after I had the food. Felt so weird so I am writing like this. Never ever.

Open House is one of the top restaurants in Thiruvananthapuram, and for good reason. The Chilli Chicken, their signature dish, is absolutely top class. Marvelous mix of spices and sweetness, which is induced by caramelized onions. The Chilli Chicken's popularity, however, takes away the spotlight from their other dishes too, which are definitely worth a mention.
The Paneer Butter Masala is heavily underrated. Not too sweet, but not too spicy either, just how the dish is intended to be made, and they execute it very well. There are a large range of bakery items as well.
Excellent ambience too, the atmosphere is very calming and pleasant which is good for both informal and formal occasions and purposes.
However, as to be expected of such high-end places, the prices of all the dishes quite high and demanding on your bank account. The menu has very few options, a lot of which aren't available most of the time. Still, I would say that it is indeed worth the occasional outing.

Okay food, veg meals did not have good side curry options. Fish curry was okay but Not that great. Service was not good , staff was in a hurry and seemed frustrated. Haven't really tried the other variety of sea food options, maybe those are good but the interior and total atmosphere is dull and The wash area was quite unhygienic so probably won't do a second visit.
Options for food was very less. Only ayala was available. Boiled rice was not boiled enough. Thenga paal fish curry was just okay but less portions that we had to order kottayam fish curry which was very spicy. God, pls give them the courage to visit kottayam and find good fish curry. Appam was good.

Prawns in the prawns fry was not de-veined, tried their Ayala fry, and Choora fry along with the prawn fry, they all looked beautiful giving you a similar vibe of Calicut Amma mess fish fry but tasted raw and bland, the masala was just for show topped up on the fish.
Even of you are hungry and starving stay that way than eating out from this restaurant.

Place seemed overrated. Fish curry meals was below average. Pish polichathu was fry and curry. Will not recommend. Place was so hot , air conditioning is just for name sake. You get better seafood at this price else where. Only saving grace were the cordial hosts/ servers. Veg meals was really bland.

Just the ambience is great. The staff and the food isn't. The chicken was undercooked and I had informed the person who served us about it. All that he did was, hear us and bring the cheque. Extremely condescending.

The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, creating a positive atmosphere for diners. However, I have some doubts about the authenticity of the reviews since they offer a free dessert in exchange for reviewing on Google Maps. Unfortunately, during my visit, the restaurant's kitchen was undergoing maintenance, which resulted in the unavailability of seafood and other menu options.
Over spicy food.
We ordered sheshwang chicken fried rice, porotta, veeshappam, dragon chicken and chicken curry.
The fried rice was over spicy that it was not at all edible.
We just let them know about this while paying bill and their reply amused us that the fried rice as is spicy. Attaching images so that the viewers can judge the spiceness.

Nice food and great rustic ambiance. The place felt neat and tidy. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing which could be better is that there are so many staff trying to serve simultaneously which felt a bit intimidating- I will be happy with one staff catering to a customer.

Absolutely brilliant place. Really good ambience in this place. Food was pretty dope as well. We ordered a veg meals and teamed it with some seafood. The spices were on point not too spicy either.

There is only limited parking facility available. Dine in also available. Wait time of 5-10min is expected in the evening as it is relatively rush in eve hours.

Came here for seafood, and I was not disappointed. Had the Kakka erachi and konju fry. Really good, and I would recommend it. It is a very small place. Don't come here for ambiance, but food is exceptional.
Being a trivian, Sagara Restaurant is not a new try for me. This time when i landed Trivandrum,i was really missing the seafood and came here.
As usual, they didn’t fail in welcoming us nicely and ordering is not at all a hard task as the staffs are so good in recommending us the best options.

Had gone for lunch to this restaurant,famous for its sea food .Had fish curry meals ,meals was good .The side curries usual aviyal ,thoran-beetroot ,kichidi pickle was served along with sambar rasam and prap too.We did order for meen polichu..too good and tasty fresh and yummy !!! Service was too good!! But felt it's crowded.
Tried this place for the first place .Ordered Chicken fried Rice & Chilli chicken via Swiggy. Chicken fried Rice was just fine ,not very happy ! Chilli chicken was ok,very spicy too!

It's an average hotel only most of the person choose this hotel because of lack of hotels in this area otherwise you choose hotels inside pothys. Better you avoid this hotel if you can
What sea food feast it was!! had tummy full of lunch. Fish thali with pomfret fish and mussels fry. Yummy... Thali had heavy bowl of white rice, fish curry with several pieces, butter milk, rasam, sambar, papad, sabji etc. Spent full 1 hr eating the meal. Service is too good, quick, price us reasonable. Highly recommend for fish lovers. Restaurant has varieties of seafood preparations.
The food is good. The porotta was okay. I had duck roast ordered and was not impressed that much, i should say! The ambience is good.

As you can see the hotel is on a busy road side and as you can expect the hygiene is very poor and i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Not customer fiendly. We ordered 2 biriyanis for 4 people. But they donot respect human values. So there we cannnot share food.
