The park needs a bit more attention, it's quite unkept.
Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park offers more than just green space in Miami. It's a tranquil escape infused with a touch of history, perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a fun family outing. Here's why it earns a perfect 5-star rating:

Urban Oasis: Escape the city's buzz and unwind in Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park. Lush greenery, serene walking paths, and the gentle sounds of nature create a peaceful haven. Whether you need a place to relax with a good book, practice yoga under the shade of a tree, or simply enjoy some fresh air, this park offers a refreshing escape.

A Glimpse into the Past: History buffs will appreciate the park's connection to the Matheson family, who once owned the land. Explore the remnants of their estate, including a historic caretaker's cottage and a scenic overlook with a rich past.

Family Fun: Bring the whole family for a day of outdoor adventure! The playground keeps the little ones entertained, while the open space is perfect for playing frisbee, tag, or having a picnic lunch. Plus, there's a dog park for furry friends to socialize and burn off energy.

Something for Everyone: Biscayne Shores caters to diverse interests. Jog or bike along the scenic trails, have a friendly game of basketball on the courts, or practice your putting skills on the mini-golf course (available at some locations). The park offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Gateway to Adventure: Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park is a convenient jumping-off point for exploring other parts of Miami. It's close to popular attractions like the Miami Beach Boardwalk and shopping malls, making it easy to combine your park visit with other activities.

Overall, Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park is a hidden gem in Miami. The tranquil atmosphere, historical touch, variety of activities, and proximity to other attractions make it a perfect spot for a relaxing day or a fun family outing.

Best positive energy to come with friends for a walk and drinks. Stop at a restaurant for appetizers or meal. You will not regret it
Great place. I love the unusual design of the playground. It has its authentic approach. The rest of the park is mostly a lawn with several tables and banches under the palms.

We took a scenic celebrity home boat tour and it was fun. I think it was around $47 for two adults. I highly recommend it.

Despite Miami Dade County opening parks to the public two weeks ago, the park is still closed. It is listed as open on the webpage. It must be updated. It's a shame because I was eagerly anticipating it.

Urban park in downtown Miami.
It is lovely to walk around here or simply relax on a bench and contemplate the beautiful views caressed by the breeze. I loved it.

Went here to see the Burn Notice opening scene spot. Worth it! Felt really cool up there and great views of the water all around. There’s not a lot of shade at this park, so bring water and a hat!

Simpson Park is an eight-acre natural preserve located in Miami's urban core. It features a subtropical flora that showcases Miami's diverse community. The park is known to have been settled by Native Americans, including the Tequesta people. It has over 162 plant species, including 15 endangered and 9 threatened species. It's a great spot to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I enjoyed this place on a stopover once. I had 5 hours to do nothing. So I went to a restaurant, ordered some food and then sat by the water for an hour just listening to the waves hit the rocks.

It was quiet, only like 7 people around. There was a little hot dog stand (didn’t buy anything cuz it wasn’t kosher but it was there)

Next time I stop over at MIA I will definitely go there again if I have enough time.

MIAMI, FL - This is a great place to come and relax during your lunch hour if you happen to work on Brickell Avenue; or even before you get to the office in the morning. It’s quiet and peaceful, ideal for reading a book or enjoying music while relaxing under the shades of the trees at Mary Brickell Park. The residents from the high-rises around the park often come out to walk their pets or jog around. (Follow me on FB/IG/TIK @davegarcia.x)
So many memories ive had here when i was a child

Beautiful forest.

For a place so obsessed with no one straying off the one route you’re allowed to walk on, you’d think they wouldn’t leave the back door open.

Not the kind of park it’s advertised as. Doesn’t feel like I’m anywhere close to nature when there’s a sign every 4 feet reminding me not to actually step into it, which is a shame since the location was so convenient. Seems it’s managed less like a park and more like a museum.
Beautiful greenspace in a city that sorely needs more of it.

Nice park in Brickell, next to a food truck park, easy place to grab lunch and let the kids play.
Just a tiny spot of greenery with several benches and a view to the river merging.
Nice place to read a book or spend time with a doggy.

The park is very small, it's like a big backyard. I don't think it's safe for dogs as any dog can literally run to the streets and a car can pass by. Your dog has to be on leash at all times which it's literally as walking your dog in your own street. It's basically all dirt which can easily get your dog dirty. I don't recommend it as a dog park actually. It's more like a place to come, sit down and read a book.

They renovated the park so kids like my baby sister can see something new once in a while. There are places to sit, there's water nearby, a school I used to go to last year, and there are food trucks and sitting areas to eat. This is basically great for kids.
Calmest and probably the safest place in Miami for you and your dog 🐕

Great park
Finally opened againg after a few years since covid. Unfourtunately only briefly for summer, and only on weekends. Park its closed again at least until next summer. I remember it been opened for the whole week before covid, even hosting movie nights. Park has a small lazy river, decent size pool and two areas with 2 water slides each. Capacity caps at 1000 persons and it gets packed, after 11 am expect to make a line and maybe if park at capacity they might turn you away. We had plenty of fun on hot summer days. But been Miami, expect rain any day. If its a thunderstorm park will be closed and you will be asked to leave. If you were there for less than 1.5 hrs you would get a rain check for next weekend. If no thunders, you might remain inside the park until it stop raining.

These were stone benches in Miami Park before, but now they are cut to prevent homeless people and other downtowners from sitting on them. Thanks a lot to De Santis!
The park itself is amazing. Good people nice and clean. But the food vendors are simply en educated people. An old lady who sold me a frozen lemonade treat me like trash. Because I ask her for a lid. A simple lid. She told me that I have to speak to the owner of the place to give me a lid. And then she said this Latino people are spiders. In Spanish. Good place to go. But vendors are so en educated.
Spring gardens park has a lot to offer! Wild animals and fresh air. The park is kept clean and very enjoyable.

great public beach beautiful playground covered
Beaugtiful park area. The previous review is kind of silly as this little park setting is in the center of a high rise city. What do you expect? I would give anything to see one spot like this in Detroit. We can look at the park from our hotel but wish there wasnt fences around it. They look temporary so Hope next time we visit they are removed.
we always have so much fun here!

Walked from Biscayne Blvd Way accross the Brickell Bridge towards Brickell Park and unto the food trucks located behind the school. Nice easy walk, beautiful sunny breezy day in Miami. The park is well kept, plenty of shade from the trees, clean and very kid friendly with some kids' slides close to the water. The food truck experience was great! We sat at the covered picnic tables and we tried Chucho's (Venezuelan), Mani in Pasta (Italian), Superfood Bar (more on the healthy side) and La Suiza Bakehouse (desserts and cookies). Everything was great! Very nice plan for any time of day right in the heart of Brickell, Miami!

I decided to visit this park because it was within walking distance down the street from my hotel in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. It's a great natural oasis from the hustle and bustle of the urban sprawl. Yes, you can still hear jack hammers, car horns, and the Brickell station metrorail in the background, but this is a great place to relax, read a book next to the koi pond that's located in the park. Bring comfortable walking shoes, as there are tree roots, rocks, and uneven walking surfaces on the walking trail throughout the park. The park is gated and closes at 3pm.

It's a great place for hiking. In hot weather, high-rise buildings provide shade and you can comfortably relax, sitting on a bench. It's quiet and peaceful here. Slightly cool breeze caresses the body and the view fascinates tourists. Constantly passing boats add to the emotion.
Clean and sanitize area, not so overcrowded, with people.

Nice and clean park.
Nice, quiet neighborhood park located right on the Miami River. Unfortunately you see many boats speeding up and down the river. There are plenty of signs along the river giving warning to the “Idle Wake Zone” ⚠️ but to no avail. Hopefully we can get the attention of our elected officials and get something started.

Lovely little park for kids to play.
It is small park with good location but is not in neglected condition. The good thing is it is located on the river side and you can have feeling of fresh and cold breeze.

With a little attention by the management and authorities this can be improved a lot, especially for the families and kids in the neighborhood.

Wow never expected to find this nature park in the middle of downtown. It's beautiful. Small but very relaxing. Has a few trails that lead to a nice clean pond. There's also a visitor center but unfortunately it was closed. Didn't see any wildlife other than the koi fish in the pond. But either way it's a nice place to take a walk and breathe in the fresh air from the tall trees.

Great small park to use during the pandemic
Such a Hidden Gem!! Cute and beautiful park. With many benches around for you to seat and enjoy the nice weather with a gorgeous view!

It has a pretty walkway but is not that big which I loved.

There's also canoe access. In front of the park, there are a few spots for free parking.
Great place to spend some time
Great clean park to bring dogs

Not actually a "dog park" - More a quiet park with benches, enormous trees, and a dog station (trash bags/trash can). It's a good place to sit on a bench and read a book.

Very clean, let your kids play and enjoy the beach.
Lovely park full of luscious greenery beside the river to watch the passing boats. Went and sat on the nice benches to reflect and had a nice moment. A lot of green grass that’s perfect for picnics and good vibes with friends. Check out this space if you’re into nice neighborhood parks
Very small park but wow it is nice to seat and enjoy the beauty of Miami. You can see the boats go by, spend time along just listening the sounds of nature, great place to read a book, great place to bring the little ones.

Nice open area for bar b q and family activities
This was a really cute sitting area before all the construction . The removal of perricones and the new shake shack just a lot of dust and trash now.
The best water park i ever been to i just hate the fact that i had to get out the water due to thunderstorms and the sun came back out but you can't go back into the water. But i love the place i will be back again and again and again go grapeland and i love the summer time.

Amazing 😉 nature park. So peaceful and relaxing 😎 not busy ever. The park is all shade. They close early so u want to get there before 4pm. They have restrooms 🚽 and staff always on site. There’s two entrances at this park. One ☝️ off the road and another in front of nature center.

Not one of my favorite. The location is nice, even if small it's a shaded park that has a lot of potential. The only issues it's you cannot walk in it. It's like a public bathroom for dogs. So sad to see dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. They made this park unusable by humans.
Beautiful idea, bad execution. A lot of taxpayer money wasted. The playground looks newly instaled but it lacks maintenance; garbage, spiders, racoons and a lot of homeless hanguing around. This park needs an attendant, at least while children are present, sunrise to sunset.
Its nothing like the picture. Not sure why they have that 😑...its a reasonably spacious playground, a couple of benches, and...not much else
Beautiful renovated playground and gazebo...but the park need more attention....
Experience the new nature-based playground and shelter. It is the latest concept in playground design, right here in our own County.

A small outdoor park that runs between brickell ave and the waterfront. The park has a predefined path with workout stations featuring basic machinery. The park is also the home to the William and Mary Brickell mausoleum, two founders of Miami, the former being the namesake to the street and the later the namesake to the park. The bodies have seen been moved to the Caballero Rivero Little Havana cemetery due to the increased development occurring in the area.
The food was just ok. The atmosphere was nice just to dark and the chairs were very uncomfortable.
New playground for kids the park is looking nicer stop by and admire the work put in
Not really a park. I did not see a playground and dont think it's family friendly. Not much to do and is really small. It is mainly the back of a restaurant in the plaza..
Nice park. Good for kids to run and play. River views with a cool breeze. Bring snacks because no stores near the entrance but it is great to enjoy. It is cool silent place where you can sit and enjoy with your loved ones.
Beautiful place. Have playgrounds for kids. Nice to jogging. It's is interesting and the documentary too. A good place for the family.

The park is pleasant to bring dogs for a walk, and has seating for the owners. There are doggie bags available. The park opens sunrise to sunset. The neighbors are watchful and sometimes unpleasant to park visitors
This park has outdoor exercise equipment for those who love to workout and a playground for children, free of charge. It includes a baseball field and gulf area. The water park is packed with fun slides. I enjoy walking and running here due to it's shaded areas.
A good place to walk your dog. It has a playground, a barbecue grill and benches to sit under shade trees.
Awesome park that I really enjoy a lot, and so far I'm still missing about it! Really a nice place to relax or exercise!!
This City of Miami park is located in the heart of the historic Buena Vista West neighborhood.
