Amazing vegetable dosa.
They also serve Seva, pulishery and Pappad. It’s very good.
This morning, we enjoyed a masala dosa, karavada, and coffee. They were decent, though not outstanding. The place was a bit crowded, but tolerable. While it's not known for its ambiance, the food is the main attraction. Parking is unavailable, so visitors are advised to park their vehicles on the side road 100 meters away.

Located at Thekketheruv road towards west fort.

Very limited space. There are 3 tables x 4 seats each is the total seating capacity.

Different varieties of dosas and vadas are good.
Long Wheat Halwa is a typical delicacy you can get here.

Paid parking can be found a couple of building away (towards east fort)

Should be cautious while getting out from the the shop as it is at the curvature of the road which is very narrow and flooded with vehicles l always.

Venkadesa Bhavan is a great place for South Indian food! I tried their ghee roast dosa, which was the best I've ever had. The dosa was crispy and yummy, with lots of ghee. I also had their plain dosa, which was really good too.

I tried karavada for the first time, and it was tasty and crunchy. Their filter coffee was amazing, rich and flavorful.

The staff were really nice and the service was great. Whether you're local or visiting, I definitely recommend trying Venkadesa Bhavan for delicious South Indian food. I can't wait to go back.

It is a very small hotel. There are only three tables here.. I ordered the Ghee roast. The Ghee roast and the accompanying chutney and chamanthi were all very good. The tea was average.

Their wash area and tea making area is inside a small space, so they are a bit behind in terms of cleanliness

It is very backward in terms of infrastructure

one of the best original Brahmins hotel in Trivandrum. once you visit Sree padmanabhaswamy Temple, a side visit should be based upon Venkadesha Bhavan. it's not a large, space hotel, but for filling your hunger with traditional South Indian cuisine, this is a go try one. I had breakfast from here- masala dosai, poori with masala and ghee roast along with filter coffee, and chai and as a dessert, we ordered rava kesari. the main dishes were nice( the chutneys could be better in appreance, but for taste it was great) , the dosa was perfect enough in all aspects and poori too was well deserving. The dessert was made for everyone's choice- not so sweet and ghee filled but it was worth the 25/- and size.
for me , it was very budget friendly. just a single chai, poori and kesari all together only costed upto 97/- (rounded upto 100/-). so yeah you fill you tummy along with your heart✨💕

We had ordered Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast and Parotta with Korma along with filter coffee! All of them were good. Filter coffee is a must try here. It's an authentic vegetarian affair! Do try at least once 😊

Authentic traditional food!

Their infamous Kara Vada is actually karumuru bonda! It’s sooo crispy as the main ingredient in it is rice flour! Paired with its onion chutney is a lip smacking cracking snack with their authentic filter coffee.

Ghee roast is soaked in freshly made ghee and the aroma and taste screams authenticity!

Their portion sizes are good and is very filling!

I've been visiting this place when I did my Btech from Trivandrum back in 2010. This is my regular place when ever I visit sri padmanabhan temple. Pretty nice food and a holy ambience.

This is a very old and famous place in Trivandrum. The food that they provide is very tasty. I had masala dosa, ghee roast, and karavada from here. Everything tasted good. The coffee and tea available here is also very good. And they provide food at a reasonable price. But the problem with this place is the lack of cleanliness. I wouldn't go here again because of this issue. This place is not maintained properly. It's always busy here. Only kerbside parking is available.

Average hotel. Very crowded and only minimum place to sit. Food is average only. Not of such an appealing one. Good for single visit. I would suggest to try other hotels.

They have the cafe and the halwa place next to it. Visit there in the evening around 6 and you can enjoy the hot fresh halwa. The texture, taste n everything about is really good. Should try that.

Visited the restaurant for old times sake. Taste has not changed much and they maintain a high standard of hygiene. Still a great place to have a dosa and of course karavadai in the evening. Only challenge is to find some parking.. most boys from forst would have fond memories of spending time discussing matches...

Very good vegetable hotel near the west side of the padmanabhaswamy temple. Famous for there long wheat halwa and vada items. Menu includes dosa, porotta, chappathi, idiyappam, sevai etc. Located in vazhapalli junction. I daily visit in the evening for tea and snacks. Very cost effective and budget friendly.
