Worst cemetery I have ever seen. My grandmother is buried in a part of the cemetery where they seem to toss latinos and forget all about them. Cedar Avenue to be exact. Disgusting - a depressing wall full of garbage is all that separates the graves from the mess. I could hardly find her tombstone - not a worker in sight. I'm going straight to a news outlet with this one - for so many reasons. Even in death you're treated like a second-class citizen. Shameful!

As an avid genealogist, amateur historian, and public school teacher, I adore All Faiths Cemetery. Back in the day, many people called it the "Lutheran Cemetery". It's such an old, ruralesque cemetery with dirt roads and family plots on small hills. It's gorgeous, old, and sometimes a little rustic. Most importantly (my bias opinion), there is the most gorgeous plot dedicated to the unidentified souls who perished during the Slocum Disaster. The worst tragedy in New York City's history prior to 9/11. If you are a local history buff or visiting All Faiths, I suggest you go and pay a visit to the Slocum Plot. It is moving.
Went today to the cemetery brought my 93 year old mother with me and we were mortified at the terrible coditins of the cemetery and grave sites 3ft weeds growing between grave stones uncut grass and debris everywhere to be honest it looked like an abandoned lot unfit final resting place

Interviewed on the phone with the Office Manager for an Admin/Bookkeeping position. 2 weeks later they called me for an in-person interview with the Office Manager and President at 12pm .... in which office manager ran late and took 12 mins to call me into the conference room... interview went well, only to be told at that interview I had to wait another 2 weeks to hear back from them in case I needed to be interviewed by the board... also upsetting to be rushed out because the office manager expected a personal call at 12:30pm .... SMH! They expect a person to wait a month just to see if they get hired??? I see why they have such bad reviews... they work super slow for no reason!

My Great Aunt is buried here in her family plot. All I can say is "what a shame" Soo many beautiful stones and memorials and the place looks totally neglected. The grounds arent kept up at all, road signs missing, rough roads, toppled gravestones, broken branches and trees strewn around and across graves. Im not joking when I say its the perfect type of place to film a scary movie. If its the familys responsibility to care for their own grave, fine, but at least do some tree trimming, and repair the road signs and roads themselves. very depressing.
So disappointed visited the family grave for the first time and it is disgusting definitely going to come here and start cleaning it up and this is the grave blanket my mother pays for. We are at fault for not coming here soo er
South side of cemetery is shamefully overgrown with weed trees, vines and grass. We had to break down overgrown trees to find our relatives graves. Also, its Memorial Day weekend and the office is closed.

Awesome place
This cemetery features a memorial to the General Slocum Steamboat Fire disaster, in which 1,020 parishioners of St. Mark's Lutheran Church perished by drowning or fire on 6/5/1904. While I visited, I saw cemetery staff tending the memorial vases in the chapel and others working on the grounds. The office staff were helpful and friendly.
Zero stars. This place is a wreck. How could they keep it in disrepair. It’s a disgrace to all those rested there and their families!! Gets worse every time I go. Now can’t even find our loved ones grave. Going to contact as many people as we can to get this place to clean up their act.

Charming, hidden, yet somehow forgotten and neglected cemetery. A large space with some hilly sections offering views to downtown and midtown Manhattan. This place has history! There is so much here of the German immigrant story; names which are still very common in Germany as well as birth places which are no longer part of Germany -- and in fact there wasn't even a country of Germany when some of these cemetery residents were born there!
My family is buried here, these people are amazing at a time as sensitive as this. Prices are reasonable as well.
