My roommate and I have lived here since august and have experienced nothing but inconsistency and disappointment through management and owners. Trash is always a mess, we’ve requested a towel rod and still don’t have one, or a working stove. When we moved in nothing was ready (washer and dryer was unconnected, doors were missing, I didn’t have blinds for two weeks), we weren’t able to view our apartment, our chandelier hangs by a thread, and the list goes on. Can’t wait to leave

I would 100% absolutely not recommend moving here.

1. These apartments are very poorly insulated. We use nearly twice as much energy (and spend a lot more money) to keep the place cool during the summer as a “similar home” according to the PGE website.

2. As you can see from other reviews, there is only 1 dumpster for the whole property. Not only is it disgusting when people are forced to let trash bags pile up outside the dumpster, it attracts rats. Also, the cost of garbage removal goes up based on frequency of service (and the fact that they need multiple vendors to keep up) and that extra cost is passed on to residents.

3. There has been at least four leasing office managers and maintenance people that have come and gone since we moved in over a period of two years. This high employee turnover leads to poor execution of operations on the property (maintenance request, leasing office hours/availability, etc...).

4. This has been mentioned in previous reviews as well...us residents were offered a gift card to leave a positive review of the property online. These reviews are misleading to future residents and provide an inaccurate representation of what it's like to actually live here.

5. The property is very close to Highway 26. The sound of vehicles on the highway is extremely loud. Some times of day are worse than others, but there are periods that can be unbearably loud. I will let you all do your own research about the health effects of living that close to a major interstate or highway as well.

There are so many other things I could go on about. Please do thorough research of the reviews and management company as a whole. My experience living at Sunset Crossing have ensured that I will never live at an Avenue5 property again.

0/5 Stars

My time at Sunset Crossing has been a deeply disappointing experience. Amidst the issues of overflowing trash, rats, thin walls, and the persistent freeway noise, the lack of communication with management adds to the frustration. We've received multiple 24-hour notices of entry that claimed maintenance was going to enter our unit at some point in a 72-hour window. Even more frustratingly, they didn't even show up in the window they mentioned. The overflowing trash contributes to the presence of homeless individuals digging through the garbage for cans and has allowed a large number of rats to make Sunset Crossing a nice home for themselves. I have not seen management do anything in the last 2 years to fix this issue. The thin walls not only contribute to the noise disturbances but also result in a higher-than-usual PGE bill, adding an unexpected financial burden to the already challenging living conditions.

The high turnover rate among employees reflects the management’s struggle to maintain a stable team. Management offered a $20 gift card to residents for positive reviews so please be cautious when reading reviews about Sunset Crossing.

Given these disappointments, I would strongly encourage those looking to move to the area to explore Emerald Place. It is very close by and provides a more satisfactory and reliable living experience.

I haven been inquiring about these apartments for a very long time now. They advertise false pricing, and they refuse to show us the unit we are wanting to apply for untill we sign a lease. I’m not sure why that would be ok? People need to be able to view a unit before committing to it. Very unprofessional & disappointing

"We are in a very good location at Sun Crossings. Quick access to all shopping centers and the highway. The community is very quiet and peaceful, and we have good neighbors. The management of this community provides very good service. Since they have hired a new maintenance team, everything is very organized and precise. The trash disposal area is clean, and if any equipment in the unit malfunctions, it is quickly addressed. Thanks to the management of this community."

I just had to drop some love for our awesome home. Seriously, living here has been an absolute dream!
First things first, this location is gold. It's like we're at the center of everything – schools, shopping, you name it. And the best part is that commuting is a breeze with major highways nearby. I can't imagine a better spot to call home.

The design of the place is so modern and chic. Every time I come home, I'm greeted by this beautiful exterior that makes me smile. And when you step inside, the layout is so cleverly done. Natural light floods the place during the day, making it feel warm and welcoming.

The maintenance of the property is on point. The landscape is always well-kept, and it's clear that they take pride in how everything looks. I love taking strolls around the community – it's so peaceful and relaxing, you wouldn't think we're so close to the city's hustle and bustle.

Feeling safe and secure is a big deal for us, and this place doesn't disappoint. They've got top-notch security systems in place, and the gated access adds an extra layer of peace of mind.

I've got to give a shout-out to the property management team – they're awesome. Whenever we've had questions or needed something fixed, they've been super responsive and friendly.

All in all, I can't express how happy we are to live here. It's more than just a house; it's a real community where we've made some lifelong friends. If you're looking for a place that feels like home from the moment you step in, this is it.

Cheers,

I want to provide an honest feedback. There's no perfect place, but the strengths we have here outweigh the weaknesses. Stacey, who is in charge of repairs and maintenance, is extremely responsible and has provided us with the best services. The young lady who manages this place is highly skilled and gaining experience in this field. I understand that they have made progress in their management skills, and I appreciate that.

The atmosphere here is pleasant, and we have great neighbors. The access to the highway and shops is very convenient. The only downside I can point out is that we only have one designated dumpster area, and it might get a bit overflowing with glass and recyclables for a day or two each week that it only happens occasionally. In my opinion, adding more bins for glass recycling could be beneficial. Nevertheless, Stacey washes the area with high-pressure water almost every week.

Overall, it's one of the best homes we've rented so far. Thank you!

I’ve had a broken gas fireplace since moving in 2 years ago - multiple requests and nothing being done.

They say COVID caused a back order on the parts but spoke with the company doing the repairs and come to find out that is not true - company just needed payment. Brought this to the offices attention and again - no reply. Lots of ghosting, lying and not following through with their end of the lease agreement. They literally do not care. Don’t answer the phone or the door. Anyone else have this issue who wants to talk? I know a few other previous and current neighbors having the same.

Multiple missed appointments for past repairs. It’s just bad business - no integrity.

Shame on me for signing the renewal lease. Huge mistake.
