i ordered the tuna tartare and french onion soup burger. the tuna tartare came prepared with a delicious avocado mousse and bitter orange for flavor. they also placed homemade(?) potato crisps on top which enhanced flavor and texture. there’s a delicious balance of savory, sweet, and tart that worked really well with the fresh tuna. the burger was definitely the highlight of the meal. the taste was so absolutely delicious. if you like french onion soup, you NEED to try their burger. it comes with perfectly meaty gruyère, delicious caramelized onions, and dijon all on a buttery, toasted bun. the patty was high quality beef and oozed with juice every time i picked up the burger. i’d highly recommend coming through!
i came here without knowing that they were famous for their meatballs. i ordered their spaghetti and meatballs by recommendation of the waiter. the dish was extremely fulfilling and satisfied my pasta cravings. the meatballs have a strong beef flavor with notes of a nutty, pistachio flavor. the pasta had a fantastic homemade, al dente texture, cooked to perfection. the sauce was pretty standard but coupled well with the meatballs. all in all i’d recommend giving them a try.
i ordered their udon and curry set (hot). the food was decent but nothing too spectacular. the udon broth was tasty but the noodles themselves were way too mushy. maybe it was just that night on my visit, but their udon had little to no elasticity/bounce. the curry was decent but tasted pretty packaged and the rice was over cooked and mushy. i’d be down to give them another try though at some point. if price matters to you, this place serves food cheap.
