Ataturk Statue

Beautiful monument of Atatürk located in the heart of Ankara in Ulus square.

The monument is standing since 1927 and it’s designed by the Austrian sculptor Heinrich Krippel. (who also designed numerous other monuments of Atatürk across the country)
Borusan Contemporary

Very beautiful modern art museum with the concept of an office-museum as well, it’s open only during the weekends as the building is used by Borusan company during the rest of the weekdays, it exhibits modern art galleries in the first two floors and the rest will be the offices of the company where you can enter and witness the environment that the company staff work in.

And the best part of the whole experience is the rooftop of the building, which has breathtaking views of the Bosphorus along some beautiful art works as well, it has one of the best views of the Bosphorus ever.

I really loved the place and its atmosphere and i would highly recommend checking it out.

Al-Rifa'i Mosque

Very beautiful mosque with great architecture and massive structure, it’s named Rifai after a mystic saint, it also has the burial sites of Reza Shah Pahlavi and also the tombs of the royal family like Khedive Ismail and king Farouk, please note that the tombs of Khedive Ismail, his wives and Sultan Hussain Kamil are not open unless you ask for them, so go and ask the person responsible in the mosque so he can opens the door to the other Royal tombs, if you don’t ask for them you’ll only be able to see the Shah Mohammad Pahlavi and King Farouk Tombs, the place is definitely worth the visit and i highly recommend it.
Beautiful mosque architecturally and very important mosque as it has the tomb of Sultan Qaitbay, one of the most important Mamluk Sultans, the mosque is located within the city of the dead and the area there isn’t the nicest let’s say, please be sure to visit the place during a prayer time as the mosque is closed unless there’s a prayer, so don’t make the mistake i made, i think it deserves another visit from me which i definitely will do.
