Passport DC offered visitors the opportunity to tour the grounds and residence. Our tour took us inside the Ambassador's library area, formal dining room, where we observed Danish furniture and artwork. We were treated to a cheese display on the patio deck, overlooking the well kept garden. The entertainment consisted of a pop band, exhibits, including, their Legos for the kids. I also liked the flag display and the outdoor photo gallery.
Passport to DC was a great opportunity to see inside the British Residence. The open house gave visitors tours of the garden area, interior, including the fabulous dining room, with the Queen's portrait on display.
Ideal location, currently in a temporary facility on site. Look forward to the completed facility in the near future.
The Park Service employees do a tremendous job, that a lot of people never think about. When visitors tour Washington, DC events like the Cherry Blossom Festival and parades, just highlight how much extra goes into landscaping, building maintenance, and technical support.
Great little area to visit at this time of the year, when spring is new and cherry trees are in bloom. The iconic 400 year old gift of friendship from Japan since 1954, draws a lot of attention. There's a bench or two in the area, within steps of the FDR Memorial and restrooms are also available nearby. Great views of Tidal Basin.
