Xiomara

This was the closest affordable coffee shop, open early, to Grand Central station.
So glad we found it. They had quick breakfast sandwiches and hot and iced tea. They got our order wrong with a tea and the breakfast sandwich was still cold in the middle but they owned up to it and rectified the order/quality immediately.
The service was kind.
The atmosphere was very hipster. Cute place overall.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cafe. Thought they'd have cheap drip coffee and little muffins wrapped in plastic wrap but they actually had a nice selection. I got an iced Americano. It was good. Strong. They also had a lot of baked goods and sandwiches. They had homemade veggie chips which were expensive ($10).
A nice atmosphere to take a break from the sun and get back to exploring the garden!

If you toward the end of the day, they pre package food and sell it at a lower price. We ordered two boxes or mixed food and it was surprisingly delicious, especially the octopus!

Narrow space upon entrance but gets wider towards the back. Clean and nice space. Was impressed that the shop owner wiped the items we bought before handing them to us. Fair prices. There's also an ATM inside.

Where do you buy flowers in the winter in Cabbagetown? Thankfully right here. It's convenient and they had a big selection. The downfall was that most of the bouquets were dying. I found a lively one and paired it with closed pink tulips. She put the bouquets together and wrapped it up nicely for me.
Fair price.
Also didn't take credit card. Too bad.
