One of the few restaurants situated within the historic Fullerton hotel, this Chinese restaurant has been nominated for Michelin bib gourmand. We tried two different set menus to allow us to try as many dishes as possible. Not only the ingredients are top of the line, the way they prepare and cook them is sublime. The iberico pork was soft and melts in your mouth, the winter melon soup deceptively looks easy and bland actually packs flavour in it. The Kagoshima Wagyu beef also melts in your mouth and it was served with chocolate sauce that for some reason works. Service is friendly but food comes out a little slow so not recommended if you are bringing kids.

One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the CBD that used to open late for supper. You can expect the traditional Chinese dishes at a pretty reasonable price. What I find is that some dishes can be a hit and miss here. The XO pipis never disappoints me as well as the tofu stuffed with Prawn. The pork belly with preserved vegeteables on a good day is excellent with soft melts in your mouth pieces. On the other hand, sometimes they can come up a little dry. Service is quick and efficient.

Thailand on Bourke

One of the many new Thai establishments around the top of Bourke street. You can get individuals or share dishes here. We ordered a number of small entrees with pad Thai and dry tom yum noodles as main. Out of the 4 entrees we ordered, only the stir fry cabbage that is pretty good and the rest is just okay. The pad Thai is a little wet if you like that style but the star was the dry tom yum noodles otherwise I would've rated this place as a 3 stars for food. The service was really slow when we were there although it wasn't a full house, most probably because they just recently opened.

It's not an actual hotel!! Instead it's an interactive game experience decorated like a hotel. The place has multiple different rooms, each with its own type of game. For example in one of the rooms they played a snippet of a song without the lyrics and you have to guess what song is it from the multiple choice options within the time limit. Once you have completed 5 rooms, you tally your score and see how you fare against the leaderboard. In our case it was an office team outing so we compete against other groups. There are more than 5 rooms but we didn't get to see what was inside the other rooms.
Would highly recommend for team bonding activities but not suitable for under 10 years old as the games can be quite difficult.
Caffe e Cucina

Italian restaurant that has been around for a while and seems to have many regulars when we were there. The interior design has that rustic old charm to it although felt a little squishy as there is not much space with the next tables. There are few seatings outside with bigger space but you have pedestrians walking past and get a little cold during winter. The spaghetti was decent. The veal Parmagiana was served thin with this light crumb coating. I would not recommend the broccolini as it was very basic. The charcuterie board was the best dish for our meal. It comes with these fluffy pillow-y mini breads that provide great texture which goes well with the cold cuts.
