Every big city has trails for your fitness needs and the Ottawa/Gatineau area has endless trails. On both sides of the river you can hike or bike or run for miles. And both cities are connected which is great! This trail takes you into part of the Gatineau Park and it’s very nice! 👍😎

Lots of parking lots in the area. I always go to this one. It’s conveniently located and the full price of $12 for the day isn’t too bad. You’re close to everything from the national art gallery to Majors Hill Park and of course the Byward Market itself 👍😎

This area has been developing quite nicely recently. With the Agora nearby it’s becoming a desirable neighbourhood. Naturally a park or playground should be included. Parc de Bruxelles is a nice well maintained playground. 👍😎

As always is the case most of the time the Ottawa side of the capital region gets most the attention. The Gatineau side is overlooked and there is lots to do and enjoy here too. This port is actually quite nice to enjoy some cool views of the river as well as the bridge. The adjacent park adds to the experience as well. 👍😎
