Dominion Arboretum

A peaceful nature park near the experimental farm and canal. There are walking and bike paths and plenty of wide spaces and benches for picnics. The picturesque footpaths and bridges, wildlife, trees and greenery are a breath of fresh air. There is some parking nearby but it is somewhat limited although free.
The all-you-can eat option is 28.99$ per person plus hotpot soup base. The Ying-Yang hotpot (7.99$) was more than enough for our group of 3. There was a good variety of options to try. They provide some thin sliced meats to start but there are plenty of vegetarian options available for self-serve. A limited variety of cooked items were available such as stir fry noodles, spring rolls, and crispy bread rolls. There are a few desserts like jelly, preserved fruits, and cookies. Come with an appetite! We arrived on a Saturday around 3:30pm and it was not yet too busy. It is a second floor seating area with large windows.
Philopappos Hill

A picturesque and moderately challenging climb (depending how hot it is outside) with many sights, beautiful foliage, and stone pathway. There are plenty of historic sights as you climb, such as Socrates' Prison and Philopappos monument. At the top, the view is spectacular from all 360 angles. Just below the monument is a large seating area to take a small break. While it is absolutely breathtaking at sunset, be sure to give yourself time to get back down as there is little lighting and many uneven stones.

A monument with interesting history and seems well-preserved. It sits atop a hill with spectacular 360 views and seating areas.

An impressive structure, especially as it grows closer while you climb up the hill.
