It is a great place to escape city rush, especially on hot days for a fresh and cool atmosphere.
It was planted with hundreds of tall and straight Californian Redwoods. It is definitely an amazing and tranquil forest for a rest, walk, or chill out. Be prepared as it could get muddy after rain.
We normally stop by when we are in the area or on the Great Ocean Road trip.

It offers a really good view toward the CBD. It is best to visit around sunset to see the golden light reflecting on the Melbourne CBD building.
I normally go via the river walk and end up here to rest, quite a good route if you live nearby.
There is no dedicated parking for the spot so we need to park on the street. It could get jammed when there are fireworks, so if you aim for it then you should park the cars elsewhere and walk there.
