Waugh Creek Falls is a lovely little area with lots of green and a trail nearby with a viewpoint. Current this is as far on the Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park as you can walk, and the next part of the trail is blocked off. The falls are also kept blocked off from people walking to it, so the viewpoint allows for a nice sight from afar.

This is a nice trail that connects to lots of other trails in the Goldstream Provincial Park.

The maps around the park and at the visitor’s Centre say that there is parking here, but there is none nearby. We ended up parking at the Prospector’s Trail Parking Area after trying to navigate traffic in the area.

The galloping goose trail is a lovely trail connecting Victoria to the other parts of the island: Saanich, Langford and Sooke.

Mainly for cyclists (lots of electric bikes on the paths), it’s also good for walks/hikes. Mostly paved and detached from roads, but some parts are along the highway or roads.

AMAZING. I’ve had Tacofino in Vancouver, but this was even better! The tacos are great (especially the yam taco), and the crispy chicken burrito was the best burrito I’ve ever had.

Lots of space inside and out for seating, but busy with dine in and take out orders.

The staff was really lovely and accommodating. They gave me the wrong taco and were quick to rectify in an above and beyond manner. 10 ⭐️

This is a great place to stop for a rest if you’re strolling along Dallas Road, going for a cycle along the Victoria coastline, or just while driving through.

This is a typical BC beach, with rocky sand and driftwood, as well as beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.
