Stark, but interesting sculpture in this large public plaza. Ample photo ops!

That said, we passed it so many times without seeing it because we were focused on the memorial flame on the east edge of the plaza. Well, that's what keeps the city fascinating, right?!

Fun 18-hole miniature golf course. Very affordable. They also have lots of specials, such as dads and granddads play free on Father's Day.

The course isn't quite as challenging as the one in Pottawatomie Park (River View), but for many families with young children that makes this course ideal for younger players.

Parking is really handy on the southeast side of Wheeler Park. Restrooms are also close. Trees provide plenty of shade over most of the course.

As others have noted, their schedule changes with the academic year of local public schools. So, for example, they're not open during the day on weekdays starting mid-August. Check the website to be sure.

Fun minigolf in a great park. Interesting course with good hazards. Also, the staff tries to keep group size small so that you don't get stuck waiting.

Snack bar is great, too. Reasonable prices for a park snack area.
