I asked for EXTRA curry for my Singapore noodles and for a little less spice on my General Tso. I think they forgot the curry entirely :( So bland. The wonton soup was bland, and the General Tso had so much water at the bottom. Adding; I shouldn't have to add soy sauce (I try to minimize soy) to get flavour from the wonton soup and as far as all the water at the bottom of the General Tso (in response to your response) if I had known and you don't specify anywhere, I would not have ordered it. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the broccoli was almost raw. It also came without rice, maybe the rice would have soaked up some of the water? Who knows. When someone gives feedback, it's an opportunity to improve. Finding that any food ordered through UberEats is almost always subpar.
We ordered from 955 Chinese Food for the first time this evening. It was delivered quickly and arrived piping hot. All four dishes were delicious. They will now be our go-to for Chinese food.
No one ever leaves this place hungry. The portions are large and the food is top quality. They have a lunch special for 7.95. There was eight of us for a birthday party. Half of us had the lunch special and half had individual orders that they shared.
This is one of my favorite chinese restaurants. They have the best egg rolls, and the food is good. They give a decent amount of food in their combination dinners. I have been going to this restaurant for about 40 years.
My husband and I have been enjoying the tasty dishes at House of Wong for years. The food is always fresh, hot and flavourful. The portions are generous with enough left over to take home. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it.
I can only hope this was a bad night for these guys, but I’ll tell you, my meal was horrible. The Shrimp Pad Thai did not taste like Pad Thai at all. It had spaghetti noodles instead of flat rice noodles, rubbery, overcooked shrimp and it barely tasted of tamarind. The dish had a weird orange colour instead of the rich brownish colouring of a nice tamarind sauce. It also tasted as if it had been sitting on a counter for hours before it was delivered to an unsuspecting customer…me.

I think I’ll go back to my old place, Eden, and give them a shot at regaining my patronage, even though they can be hit or miss sometimes too. If anyone has a solution for good Chinese delivery in the Leslieville/Riverside/Beach area, please leave me a comment.

I've been buying food at this restaurant for over 5 years and it's time to STOP 🛑! 2 months ago I stated it was my last time going to House of Wong because the food Dine in was terrible 😔😭. Today we bought take out hoping it would be better ... unfortunately it got worse. It was terrible beyond words. Not to mention the service over the phone. The person who answered SCARED 😨 ME With...... 'DINE IN or TO GO!' She sounded as though I was owing her an exorbitant amount of cash and didn't pay. I simply put my husband on the phone to place the order. OMG this restaurant was so good now it's over a cliff. I could not even eat all my food of the 4 items we ordered. From tasteless salty, oil soaked chicken wings , to over sweet noodles, to terrible general tso chicken and fried rice that was dry and tasted as if salt was too expensive. It's hard to establish a restaurant but, this one has to do better. I used to brag about the food now I am ashamed. I ate over one hour ago and am just so upset 😭😭😭😭 a waste of money, terrible food just bland dry and bad. DO BETTER. LEAVING THIS RESTAURANT AFTER OVER 5 OR 6 YEARS. BYE HOUSE OF WONG, TODAY IT WAS HOUSE OF WRONG. GOODBYE HOUSE OF WRONG.
It is August 1st 2024 at 5:00 p.m. I just ordered three item meal and the two item meal. Both barely had any food in it. I used Uber to order this and I have not been able to get a hold of customer service to complain so I called Nancy walk I tried to explain the situation she said sorry sorry sorry sorry too busy and hung up on me I called back this time before hanging up she was extremely rude I'm not going to type the words that she used but because of this store in particular I will no longer be using Uber eats. I posted the date and time hoping somebody higher up sees this and takes care of the disrespectful staff they have working. I'm actually extremely upset I'm 35 I've been Manchu wok since it's was 10.😭
Authentic Cantonese cuisine of the highest calibre! Dishes are superbly executed with top quality ingredients - not a greasy Chinese-Canadian diner but a true world-class restaurant that's several cuts above. Decent and competitive prices, hence good value too. Excellent service, very attentive and warm staff. Overall, a really great place and hidden gem!
Sushi Torii is our best place. Always we go there with family friends to enjoy theirs food. Service is excellent as their food. Price is affordable too. Definitely recommended.
The sushi is perfect without using too much rice to make us full, it's also fresh 😋. 25.99 for an adult lunch all-you-can-eat 👍👍👍

Whatever you do, do NOT order the beef and broccoli! Sooo nasty and slimy and gross! I would avoid the Masonville location altogether tbh - you have been warned!!! (only the rice is safe)
Came here because Golden Harbor nearby was full. Instead of waiting for another 40 minutes, glad to try different restaurant in the area. It was way better than I expected. Seated right away, Ordered food items using a tablet. It's pretty organize and speedy. Good small portions and selections for AYCE. Seem like tasting the same sauce on everything but ingredients are fresh and worth the price. Will be back for sure!!
The place has mold, the wait was to be ten minutes but it took 35 minutes to get our food. The biggest problem being a foreigner who stands behind the poor small Asian woman talking very loudly and won’t leave her in peace for a second. He’s apparently the delivery man? He needs to go! He’s a loud and obnoxious bully ruining everything and she seems terrified of him. Hope he gets taught a lesson soon and a hard one. It was awful, standing there, listening to his loud mouth. As for the food, it was good.
The Rice was horrible. The peas in it were undercooked. The meat was ok.
Service was fine.
Though they don't claim to offer healthy food, I don't think this was a healthier meal than McDonald's. Overall, too salty.

Wow!!! this place is a find. I've rarely had Chinese take out like this. Fresh, well balanced and delicious. I recommend dinner for 3B, was ready in 15 minutes. Not a place to eat at though, don't let the look of the place fool you, it's awesome!!!!

The sashimi tastes good, they have more choices than other all you can eat sushi place. Which includes squid, octopus, those are rarely seen in other restaurants.
But the red tuna tastes awfully stink. And the tempura are not fresh, not crispy at all. All of the cooked food taste bad, which is abnormal for most ayce sushi.
In a nut shell, the sashimi is okay, service okay, cooked food is the worst.

Good portions for the lunch special.. Atmosphere was very quiet, clean and had the old chinese aesthetic. this would not be bad for a regular dine in. Service was just great, Vincent, i’m not sure if I got the name right but he was good, and gave fortune cookies at the end of dine in as well. Would love to see more people dine in tho. Definitely coming back

Walked out after just a few days.. was told by the owner that other drivers were threatened to be let go just for asking why the cook smokes while cooking and suggesting to wash hands more frequently. HARD NO

Came for ayce lunch on a Saturday, impressed by the amount of options for rolls, they had allot of specialty rolls. I liked the crab mixture they had for their crab pizza and rolls as well, no fillers just crab and spicy mayo. Cheese wontons were also good. Overall would come back as the price was good for the selection. Prices have really gone up around the area of Newmarket and Aurora for ayce sushi but for here is still a decent price. Also need to note, service was great, would come back.
Bad experience. I ordered the general tau, half noodles and fried rice, the string beans and broccoli. Caused me to almost pass out, diarrhea, sweats and nausea. Need to know the ingredients of your food.

I ordered for take out, and was extremely Disappointed with food quality the fried rice does not have any taste and it was an old rice that was served in addition the honey garlic chicken is extremely sweet and I cant barely eat it. Waste of money & terrible food quality
Great food. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the mango salad as it had a mango/mayo dressing which i found took away from the fresh taste of the mango itself. The atmosphere was good and clean. Service was quick and friendly.
This was by far the worst Chinese food, and honestly take out in general, that I've ever had. I ordered through Uber Eats and the entire meal tasted like it was just frozen and reheated. The meat did not taste real and there was barely any flavour. The chicken was not even fully warmed through which shows it was just reheated. I was extremely disappointed and did not even finish my meal. Unfortunately, I would never recommend this place.
My boyfriend and I have been coming to Torii Sushi for over a year now and the service is amazing and the people are friendly, the owner always greets us and remembers our drink order. The sushi is great and so is the chicken, it’s fried perfectly. I Recommend to sushi lovers!

They have false smile just because of money. When l ask for an extra from what l like, they hesitate to do so. It's like they try to save the food for better events😁😁; even though, I pay whatever they charge. No need of being greedy Manchu Wok. You don't give a free lunch. Please listen to your customers.

This restaurant has been around for years. Didn’t even know it still existed. Went here in 1998 and it’s still amazing food and amazing prices. Went here with my Love n his family. We love thé rice, it has a yummy taste from the wok and the fire. (If you guys know the taste I’m talking). My Mom in-law loves this place and the guy that’s forever been working there. She has to go for food here no matter what. The lady who served us was super nice and friendly. Will def go back again when she comes in April.
We’ve been torii regulars for a long time now and it never disappoints! The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and quick! Everything we order always arrives and tastes great. Love that there are a variety of lunch options for a reasonable price. Out of all the sushi places around, torii is by far my favourite. Highly recommend the rock and roll roll, cheese wontons, and chicken katsu!
Went here for lunch w my bro. What brought us here was the lunch special that they have for $7.99 that comes with a choice of meat on vegetable fried rice. Nowadays you barely see lunch specials for these prices.
We got the Chili Chicken, General Tao Chicken, and Sesame Chicken.
The food is what you’d expect for the price, like it’s pretty good but not amazing, but just enough so that it satisfies you to still enjoy it. Not anything spectacular, but not terrible. My bro rates the place a 7.7/10 and I rate it a 7.8/10. The lady at the front counter was really nice and helpful. Me and my bro were vaping outside while waiting and she brought the orders out to us out the front door! Talk about service! I’ll be coming back. The portions are not bad too, they give about 30-35% meat and the rest is fried rice. Me and my bro are big guys and we were pretty satisfied with one meal each honestly, and for $7.99 that’s a steal in this day in age. We’ll be coming back.

I was going to order here for 1st time. Not after I read the reviews. Your response was forgetting an order? It was more than forgetting it was how long it took to get the order. I love Cathay house they are having problems with deliveries because of construction. I am reading my reviews about food dropped on floor, people don't say this if is not true.??!!! I worked in restaurants when I was young, they pick food up off floor, they use open containers of oil to hold outside door open.
Just realized they moved from Kingston Rd takeout only location to a nice new full restaurant at Queen St E. Cantonese chow mein loaded with meats and seafood was very good. The sour soup was one of the best I've ever eaten, with a beautiful balance of sour and umami flavours. Eat here. 👄
Owner dropped food and did not throw it.. he put it back to the plate. You can see how they prep through the door inside.

I went there during lunch time for All You Can Eat, and enjoyed the varieties of Dim Sum.
They are all fresh and tasty. The vegetarian foods are also included. Very clean and chic interior inside. Definitely will go back again.

The old lady cashier was serving everyone before me kindly and respectfully then when it was my turn, she takes a long look at me and changes her attitude. Completely rude, I asked what are the differences between the meat infront because there is no description or name to it, responds “its chicken or porc”. Ma’am there’s four meats there, which is which. Food was terribly bland. My partner and I could barely finish half of it. Not to mention the aftermath of stomache ache and bathroom disasters. Never again.

My go-to Chinese food take out. Every dish I get is how it’s supposed to taste. Not greasy and portions are perfect. Service is always on time and the staff are amazing people.
Very dry and old tasted food. They Just give you one napkin per person and get mad if you ask for more. They hurry you up when trying to order the food in a very unpolite manner. They asked me for a tip when I paid which is actually unappropiate because they do not serve you at the court food tables is a counter service. I refused to paid tip so the cashier díd not want to give me another fork.

The chicken wings are WAAY over-battered - pictures show the amount of GREASE that leached out of them. So much so, that the integrity of the bag was compromised, and it tore open when I attempted to take it out if the bag Furthermore, when you squeeze a wing grease comes out of it; so saturated, that the "crispy" exterior is soggy and falls off. 🤮
The beef fried rice was very dry.

I advise you to save your money and order from somewhere else.

We tried this place several times when stopping to at the mall. Never had an issue with the quality of the food like so many reviews suggest however I have to agree that for a 2 option meal the ration of chicken vs noodles/vegetables was ridiculously small several times. Decided to give this another try when it was added on Uber Eats and never had an issues. The chicken portions are proportional to the noodles/rice/vegetables in our experience. A welcomed change.
Food was delivered piping hot and fresh! Flavourful and good quality. General tso’s had a great sauce-y crunch and the chef’s secret eggplant was excellent. Both were a touch sweet for my taste but still delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for bringing great Chinese food to the neighbourhood!

What I particularly enjoy is that the vegetables offer the right amount of crisp, not overdone nor soggy. The spring rolls, at least on this occasion, tasted a bit greasy and weren’t as ‘light’ as I remembered them.
The General Tao is a staple, as are the noodles and shrimp. On this particular occasion - the order, as delivered was missing an item. That said - an overall god experience.
