We did The Quest. Some things didn't work right (or weren't explained) and some clues were in the wrong place. I've done escape rooms at other places. I'd say this place is pretty standard, but it was fun.
Jasper was great! We tried the Cabin in the Woods - a fun creepy challenge. Very welcoming and friendly vibes at this escape room. Will definitely visit again!

Adventure Quest hosted a work outing for us with an escape room and laser tag. Everyone had a great time. Our event host, Ally, was amazing! She took great care of us and made sure everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend this place.
Our group of 7, ages ranging from 30 - 70, had a great time! It was challenging, and we didn't end up solving our room, but we felt so savvy and excited every time we completed a step!

We held a team building event for our staff. They were extremely communicative throughout the scheduling and very accommodating! Once we arrived we all split into three different themed escape rooms! I’ve been to several escape rooms! The Ocala Escape has by far the best rooms. You actually feel like your in that setting. Very Challenging! Everyone had a wonderful time! Thanks for creating such an amazing escape room location in Ocala !
Definitely a great, fun experience. Our game master, Jasper, was really fun to work with. We just did a two-player game of Mr Elegoo's Enchanted Emporium. The set, props, and special effects were top-notch. We'll definitely be back for more. Thank you!

It wasn't my first time doing an escape room but was definitely the best one I've done so far. The theme was creative, it was nicely set and several of the puzzles were challenging and it was all very engaging. I will definitely come back!
The good reviews persuaded us to try this escape room and it did not disappoint. The property is unassuming from the front as it sits in a strip mall but the premises inside are excellent. The rooms are of a high standard, well worth its cost and it was gratifying to see it's well taken care of. I could not recommend this place more for a fun challenging adventure. It deserves its high marks.

The difference between this and The escape game is the tech involved in the puzzles and how a lot of the puzzles make sense in the escape game where as a couple of these rooms have puzzles that were a bit of a stretch. Some rooms are linear and others are not so the variety was appreciated. You get a discount if you book with the game masters name if you book it the same day of the room.
They didn’t incentivize 5* reviews which automatically gives them a star.
In top 3 companies, this would be my second choice.

My family and i just did the locker room escape room. It was fun, but more challenginf than other rooms i have done in the past at other places. Thankfully Jordan was super helpful and provided us with hints to help us make it through the room. I would definitely go back and try another room!
My experience here was amazing! Michael was very helpful and walked us through all the procedures and was always around to help us if we had any problems.. will definitely visit again !
An overall very disapointing experience. The staff wasn't very invested (even though not rude ) and didn't seem to have a lot of things to do. The activities in themselves were the worst part. Indeed we only had access to 5 or 6 activities with our pass, wich were short, not very realistic and not interesting. Would not recommend.
Me, my wife and another couple came to Escape Garden State to celebrate our respective anniversaries recently. This is me and my wife's second time coming here. The facility is always clean and the staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. The escape rooms are a blast. They offer the right amount of challenge. And even when we were stumped at a few spots, we never stopped having fun. And the staff nudged us in the right direction without giving away the answer to a puzzle. This first room we tried was Boardwalk Blast and the second visit was Power Surge. Both rooms were very thematic and engaging. We can't wait to come back and try the other rooms.
We loved our experience here! We did the Cabin as a group of 4. I was hesitant because I don't typically like scary experiences, but I really enjoyed it. It was definitely suspenseful. I thought the puzzles, for the most part, were a good level of difficulty while still being solvable. Definitely want to come back and try another room!
10/15/2023 Me and my family came here for my brother birthday and seriously had a blast!!! Most fun I’ve had in years hands down. Shot out to Ram who made the experience more memorable for us, thanks to him we definitely coming back sooner than later. We appreciate you, It was a dope experience.
Ghost hotel is Amazing. So much added to it that truly adds to a great experience. Highly recommend that room...and we've done several in slc and this one was great
We came here with a group of 9 girls for my daughter's 10th birthday (didn't do the birthday package, just the game). The staff was patient and accommodating. I waited in the lobby (roomy, comfy and clean) while the girls worked through the game over the hour. All of them agreed the game was FUN, suspenseful and creepy. They played Antidote with no adults in the room and were able to narrowly "escape" by the end of the hour.
We loved it! The room decor was amazing and the puzzles were lots of fun.
This is a great fun for adults and families with teens. Our family had a lot of fun and laughs. I recommend making timely reservations. To owners: some of the equipment could use a bit of love. One of the staff members (did not catch his name, short hair) was particularly helpful and friendly and shared some laughs with us. We had great time.
First time going to an escape room, was lucky enough to get Kevin. Kevin was awesome, explained the room very well, helped us when we needed it, and provided a great atmosphere. The room itself was awesome and challenging, couldn’t have asked for a better escape room. ( my sleeping pose is fake lmao , we failed the room😔 )
Jordan was a super cool dude! Really made me feel welcome and ready to solve the room. This place has beginner and veteran rooms, my experience with the easier rooms was very positive. Just hard enough to challenge my group without being overwhelming.
My family and I did the Find the Grail escape room. The host Xavier was great, very friendly and enthusiastic. The escape room itself was very challenging and fun. We initially declined any clues but as we went through it, we needed them! It was mentally challenging but as our family worked it, we solved it with a minute to spare! And Xavier met us at the end, took photos of us and invited us back. Just a great experience from beginning to end! Hopefully we will be back!
Our family of four (two seniors and two 30-ish adults) did the "Power Surge" escape room, one of Escape Garden State's easier rooms. This was the right level for our second escape room ever. Our first was in Baltimore and we failed. We prepared ahead of time by watching some general best practices on YouTube. This time we escaped just in the nick of time, thanks to hints from our wonderful game master. These hints were just enough and only when we needed them. We didn't even have to ask for them.
We totally enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it. Our room was nicely decorated as Thomas Edison's office. There were a variety of puzzles, locks and hidden items so our different strengths and abilities were useful.

I booked for my 10 year old the two hour unlimited package. Lacoya, Michael and Tommy had their hands full on this rainy Saturday night but they were great at keeping tabs on all the other customers who were enjoying this immersive experience. They had an ability to multitask and troubleshoot that was extremely impressive. They made the experience fun and super funny it was a great time. Highly recommended. The rock wall really was a win!

Exceeded the expectations set! This place was so fun for my boyfriend and I, and Jordan was a huge help from explaining the rules to giving us hints and overall making it an enjoyable experience. 12/10 recommend!! We’re definitely coming back!!

Highly recommend!! The game was really fun but I really want to give a special shout-out to Brady and Sydney. They were really polite and helpful. I love the fact that their party room has everything you need. We just walked in with our cake and water bottles. We had ordered pizzas for our party through them. They have plates, napkins, utensils, wet wipes, Ziploc bags. The party room was clean and ready with a red table cover. It was one of the easiet birthday parties ever. Thank you!
Every room at Twisted Escapes is unique and impressive. The owners are so involved and helpful, great environment and challenging rooms every time. They never disappoint!! I would rather drive 35 minutes to Twisted Escapes than any other escape room close by because the experience just doesn’t compare. Thank you Twisted Escapes. Until next time!
We had a great time playing Pirates at this location. Our game master, Jordan, was helpful, answered all our questions, and was always ready with a clue. The front staff, Brady and Emily, were patient and welcoming while we got situated to begin. And Owen offered assistance whenever we got stuck. We will be back.
We've done a lot of escape rooms and are usually very good at them. We did think there were some things that stumped us due to timing of clues, but we would do another room here. This is not one of those dinky mom and pop escape rooms.

This was our 2nd time at Escape Garden State, but this time with our two younger ones. We did Boardwalk which had lots of arcade game-focused puzzles which were challenging, but yet not too hard. The staff was great and timely with the hints. It looks like they expanded their physical space since the pandemic as well. Definitely check them out!
Best escape room experience! All the rooms are fun and are true to level of difficulty. If you can choose a game master, ask for Emily! Whoever came up with the sequence of game play made sure to make them equal parts fun and challenging. The rooms are clean and don’t have a lot of the wear and tear some of the other escape rooms we’ve been to. It deserves all five stars!
Dee was honestly so fab and gorg! It was such a fun experience and we all had a great time because Dee was such a slay!! She is definitely the light in our lives, whenever we asked for a clue we can feel Dee englighten our beings and minds! By the end of of session we may have not finished, but we felt triumphant from the friends we made along the way, and Dee was for sure a literal bestie😍 If i have to be honest, Dee for President 2024 for sure! DEE WAS A GALATIC SLAY. What a queen. Even when we struggled and lord believe me we did! It was a fun filled supercalifragilisticexpialidocious environment! After we ran out of clues, we did a run little dance and Dee gave us another clue. A fun filled, slaptastic environment that even people who don’t know what they’re doing and thrive and slay. Dee was a natural performer and a great leader. I was so inspired as I left I tried to emulate that level of brilliance that Dee showed in my personal life. What a queen
We are a team of seasoned escape roomers. This room was very enjoyable, lots and lots of puzzles. Our gamemaster Julian was excellent. The puzzles are unique and due to the sheer amount I would say this room is best for teams of at least 4-6 people. A+
I had a birthday party for my 9 year old son. It was amazing the kids, and adults had a fantastic time. I can’t tell who had more fun. Will definitely be coming back here for my other child. Perfect event venue for birthday parties of all ages
Oh man what an incredible experience. We did the Wonka room and man I can’t believe how intense this room was and how many ROOMS were actually involved. Dee was a great game master! Absolutely would come back. Super hard for just 2 people, and we made it to the last room!

Came here for my birthday to do the Devil’s Den room. It was challenging but we escaped with a few minutes to spare! The room setup was great and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. I had such a great time that I recently came back to try Boardwalk Blast which was a little bit easier but still fun! I’ll definitely be back to try out the other two rooms and would recommend this place to both beginners and experienced room escapers 😊
Nice place for a family outing, we did the escape room & I believe that was the best part of the whole place. We also did bumper cars & miniature golf. Nothing outrageous to brag about but affordable for any family..
We had the best experience. The ladies were so kind and professional. The room itself was so interactive and made us use our brains. We didn't beat the time but that's OK because we will be back to do just that. ♥️. If you're looking for a fun family night, this place is it.
While the staff was somewhat nice! The set up was over rated! We spent $200 for 45 minutes and game was poorly set up! Had to change batteries in the middle of the game.

We had a blast! This was our second time at the Ocala Escape. We did Mr. Elegoo's room first and this round we did The Basement. Jasper was out game Master and did a fantastic job helping us get through the room! Only one room left to conquer! We'll be back soon!
Me and my girls were there yesterday celebrating being 50 years young. It was an awesome experience. Arely our game master was friendly and interactive. The game was challenging and made the time go by fast. We would definitely recommend this place for a fun night out.
We’ve done two of the escape rooms here and thoroughly enjoyed both. We loved the Jersey themes and found the rooms to have really good production values with nicely varied puzzles - not just locks. Our game masters were great and super helpful with timely hints when needed.
Very fun escape room and great game master! The Heist was a toughy, group of 4 ages 15-17 with very little escape room experience couldn't figure it out in the time allotted but we still enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommend :)
We had a fun time at this Escape Room location. We went on a Friday evening and there was no delay, and the room was ready for us. The staff was very nice and provided the appropriate amount of direction.

Our game master John provided us with a memorable experience! My coworkers and I enjoyed the speakeasy escape room and made it out with 6 minutes to spare. It was the perfect amount of challenge, and John was very helpful in giving clues and updates as needed.
I brought my son and 3 of his friends to do the jewelry heist. The employee Sab was amazing, from greeting us, explaining everything before and during our escape challenge. We would highly recommend trying it out 😃
W place, the prizes r mid, but the lazer tag is fun. The jackpot on the hammer game is pretty easy, also if u do the maze try and get extra tickets 4 free they worth 200 a card
We’ve played a number of games with Escapology, and have always enjoyed ourselves! We recently had an experience that wasn’t up to par, and we provided feedback to management. They responded quickly and thoroughly—it was clear how seriously they took our feedback! They were specific with their plans for ameliorating our concerns, and we have no doubt that our single subpar experience was a one-off. We highly recommend Escapology to all, and we look forward to coming back in the very near future!
Such a a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends! Escape room was nicely maintained and staff was really friendly and helpful. Loved that there was a "difficulty range" for each room, so we were able to choose the right experience for our novice group. Looking forward to going back and trying another experience!

We visited this Escape Room after doing over 15 and this was one of our favorites! The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. We will for sure be back as the room was challenging and fun. Price is also great for the experience.
I came to escapology many years ago and the quality of the place is still as exceptional as I remember. Owen was a great host. The other staff members John, Brady, Mackenzie, and Caroline were all super nice and friendly.
We have been so many times and done a lot of rooms! We didn’t finish last night but man we had a good time! Sean and Brie were awesome and a lot of help! Spoke for awhile afterwards and they even showed us a cool APP. Definitely going to Goto the sister location to try it out! Rooms are fun, affordable, and worth it!
Really disappointing. We arrived 15 minutes early and rang the bell as directed. No response. Rang it again five minutes after our start time, still no answer. Finally tried a third time, 25 minutes after our start time and the host came out. He told us we couldn't have the full time since we were late, even though we explained that we'd been waiting for more than 30 minutes. It's odd that he couldn't hear us, a party of four people chatting in a small hallway (with two young boys making a decent amount of noise), when we could clearly hear the noises of the room being readied inside the door. I also thought it was a very strange policy not to check to see if the next party had arrived at their reserved time. The rooms are not air-conditioned, so it was pretty warm on a summer day. The locks for the puzzles were a little finicky to reset. If you're determined to spend your money here (frankly, I wouldn’t recommend it) just know that you should bang on that door upon arrival and at your start time and not rely on the doorbell, which the host said he never heard.

While I've done escape rooms at other places (including failing to escape more than once), this was my first time at Escape Garden State, and it was a blast. It was easy to book, staff was really helpful and friendly. I went with a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 teenagers). We did the "Jersey Devil" escape, an "intermediate" difficulty. It was excellent, the right amount of plot, puzzle, and difficulty. The twist is that the group is divided into two different rooms, and has to work together from different rooms to solve puzzles before coming together as one group. When we were stuck, a hint arrived at just the right time to keep it moving forward. We escaped with 4 minutes remaining. For me, the best part was that all three teens really got into it and enjoyed it. Totally worth doing!
We just completed the Alien room and had a blast! It was very interactive and fun. The environment and staff are awesome! We will definitely come back to complete other rooms.
You can't go wrong with playing games from Escapology. The staff at this location are a lot nicer. Some game master are better at assisting you. But, overall this is not a bad location. All the games, are pretty good, definitely recommend on adding them to your lists.
My only issue is once the game master wasn't paying attention and asks is where we were are in the game, which pulls you out from being immersed into the game. But, overall I definitely recommend.

I went yesterday with my cousins, sisters, and friends and we did the horror version of the euphoria heist. Raquel was our game master and was great and super helpful!! Thank you for a fun time :)
Great field trip! It was easy to book with a good price. The staff took care of everything from dividing the kids into groups to serving the pizza. We will be back next year!
Well where to start? How's about with the game master Abigail! As soon as my team walked in she was there to greet us and hype us up for the room. She did an awesome job explaining everything and getting us into the game. She was also kind enough to allow me to take an extra prop through the entirety of the game! Overall awesome experience and we will be back for the other rooms to keep our undefeated spree going!
The absolute best experience!! We went when they first opened and I was super excited to see that they have expanded to several additional rooms!!We had two rooms and everyone said they had a blast!! Super friendly staff.
Definitely recommend. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean/neat including the bathroom. We did the Budapest Express and had a great time. In case you're wondering, yes you can leave during the game to use the facilities but I wouldn't recommend...the time goes quick! My only gripe is that its really expensive but that seems to be the case for most escape rooms I found online. They do offer 15% your next visit which is cool though, so I'll definitely be back.
This place is awesome. Had my kids party here last year and everyone loved it. The prices aren't bad at all. The Lazer tag is so much fun and you can kill time on the arcade games. If you're looking for a place to have your kids birthday party or even something fun to do with your friends this is definitely the way to go. The pizza is really good also. Staff is always really friendly. I've been here over a dozen times & every time I come back I remember how great this place is & how much fun everyone has.
A group of friends and I did the Are You Worthy escape room and had a great time. The challenge was fun and the staff member that helped with clues was very kind and friendly. Several of us had never done an escape room before and would definitely recommend and come back again!
Update: owner reached out via phone to understand more about the situation and offered us a gift certificate. We were impressed by this quick resolution and have therefore changed the rating in this review.

It looked like it would have been a pretty cool room with fun puzzles, but it was reset wrong, with the locks attached incorrectly so we could open half of the locked boxes without having to solve for them. Furthermore, several mechanisms didn’t work, including a video monitor and a remote control that was needed to exit the room. Because they didn’t work at all, we ran out of time stuck on literally the last step. Our facilitator had to come in to try to fix the monitor, but could not fix the remote control, and so we never got to experience the full room and were told we had “lost.”
Note: The Rock Hill location was a much better experience.

Our facilitator had to come in to try to fix the monitor, but could not fix the remote control, and so we never got to experience the full room and were told we had “lost.”
Note: The Rock Hill location was a much better experience.
We took 4 11 year olds for a birthday. The route 66 was difficult for them. The man behind the scenes was super helpful and worked with the kids to let them figure it out with just enough help to not become frustrated.
Overall we had a good time and the lady who guided us was great. We did Sanctuary and I want to come on here and talk about it a little bit because I think it’s fair to know what you’re going into because some of it was a little irritating.
Sanctuary is HUGE. At their second location they allow an hour and a half for it, but they decided to take 30 minutes off at this location for funsies I guess? That was the first irritating part. According to our guide, only a 5th of people actually make it through. I recommend doing Sanctuary with a larger group if anything, not two people for a date like us.
Second part that was irritating was one of the locks was facing the wall, and even with the lamp I couldn’t see to get my hands around it well enough to put in the code.. along with it the code to this specific clue was wrong, or the clue was wrong and our guide had to come in there to assist and even said that something about it was wrong. It took up a good 10 minutes of our time, we still wouldn’t have made it out but we would have gotten much further if the staff who set the room up didn’t make that mistake.
I also think in the description for the games they should recommend the party size.. I think with more minds to figure it out Sanctuary would have been more feasible, I know it’s a “escape” room and it’s not supposed to be easy but we had a whole extra room to do with 3 more puzzles and where we made it to was “above average” for visitors.. Our guide stated we’d be separated in the first room for “30 minutes” and that’s half the time with 2 more rooms to go, so like I said not really a great game play for 2 people and I think it should be included in the description.
The props at the end are super cute, and I think the pricing for it is worth it overall.

A small arcade but quite expensive. A dollar for four coins. Mhm. There were new games. The bumper car area was my favorite. The lazar tag is fun in a big group. Many things to do. The food is good too.
Oh this place definitely deserves the stars! We played Cabin in the Woods. 10 out of 10 experience. They made the birthday of our teenager. So special. Jasper went above and beyond. They were funny, nice, entertaining and all around fun as our guide! The Escape Props. Story. Game clues. Decorations. Amazing. This place made us life long customers.

My first time in an escape room. It was a little confusing at first, and it took a little time to start working together, but once we did, we were able to solve the mystery. We had a lot of fun, and everyone solved puzzles along the way. It was a great family activity.
I've been to the Great Room Escape twice now. The first time was in 2016 with some friends and we tried the Zombie room (we didn't make it out). And this second time I took my family and we took on The Quest (and barely escaped).
Both times, I was very impressed with the set design. It feels like you're walking into a movie! There's an attention to detail here that you don't get at other places. It's also highly interactive, with moving pieces, secret passageways, and challenging puzzles.
Props to all those who worked hard to plan and build these amazing and immersive rooms!

My friend and I went to our first escape room ever here! We really enjoyed the experience a lot! We did the alien encounters room, and it was well worth the price! The puzzles are tricky but they are not impossible and it really engaged our brains, not only that, the atmosphere made us feel like it really was a spaceship. We are definitely going back again! This place is AWESOME!
Fully immersive Experience!
We have done many an escape rooms around these parts, and without doubt this is the best one in town!
No expense is shared in the rooms. We have done both the Cabin and The Quest! The cabin is a little scary… Becuase you feel like you are in a cabin all alone in the woods with a crazy person coming for you! The Quest was super fun… you feel like Indian Jones searching for the holy grail.

Edit: We have been back twice now. The Cabin was AMAZING! The experience with the actor was 100% first rate. We did the Qwest tonight and it was again, AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR HAVING BOUNCE BACK DEALS! WE BOUGHT OUR NEXT ONE ALREADY.

Clues were well thought out and placed, mostly clever and all were logical. The only drawback was the "actor" who was our guide. Because it was the haunted hotel, I think they were supposed to attempt to scare us... but that consisted of them yelling "AGHHH!" every few minutes (when they weren't telling us the countdown). This added stress and tension to the game without adding any ambience. Ambience is what we're paying for here and they were so bland telling the story and giving clues. Every thing was delivered in the same bored/apathetic monotone whether delivering plot lines or criticizing our game play. The way they hovered over us while we worked on the key clue ("that's wrong" "those can't go there") took a lot of fun out of finding the right answer. The constant helicoptering with the clues just made everyone self-conscious and afraid to try anything. So we left with mixed feelings. We're going back, hoping for a better experience with a different actor.

8 of us couldn't do it. We sucked but it was fun.
We went out of the blue to get out of the house after being in quarantine. We were soooo happy that we did!! Katie and Frank were great. They went above and beyond to make sure our first time to an escape room was memorable! We finished after closing time and they still had a whole conversation with us. They honestly made our first experience great! The room was awesome. We decided to do an easier one called Adrift but we can't wait to go back and experience the other two and of course to say hi to our new friends! 😁

If you’re looking for a fun night out, Twisted Escapes is the perfect place! The room was cleverly designed and so much fun. We’re already planning a trip back to try out the scary theme room, Deranged. Frank and his family were the best hosts and they made the experience 1000 times more fun with their energy and excitement. I highly recommend Twisted Escapes!!
Had so much fun, first escape room for my family. We finished and now want to try some others. Great folks running this place, highly recommend it! Really enjoyed the theme and solving the puzzles. We finished with 44 seconds left of the one hour we had. It was challenging but we had a great time. Six of us did the challenge and all of us would do it again!
Its a fun place to go for the kids but not so much as the parent after about an hour I was ready to go because we completed everything.
But my kids had an amazing time. Shout out to their amazing staff Tajane (i think that's right) was ver accommodating. My daughter could not get the bummer car to flow right and she got in there with my baby and she ended up having the time of her life (thank you)
The Maze was awesome we did get lost but My daughter again eanting to go. BY herself to complete the letter change and that she did do all by herself Inwas super proud (she is 6years of age)
My son on the other hand had a ball he was on his on but he stated he really enjoyed the laser tag.
The cosmic golf was not their favorite but it will do.

Loved it! Was so much fun, me and my boyfriend went as a couple and it was still so much fun! We will be going again with a group! Something different to do in the area! Our Game Master was amazing and made the experience! My childhood dreams have come true! :)
Very much worth the half hour drive. The rooms were difficult but felt entirely fair, and the puzzles were creative and very fun. Gameplay wise, it was as good as any Escape room I've been to. The decor and atmosphere are what made it the absolute best. The rooms had either a fantastic Cold War Era vibe, or a splendid luxury submarine look, which I didn't know was a look at all until I saw it here. Really really made a good game great.
The attendant for our session was the owner operator who was professional, helpful, and very friendly, and was willing to help us reschedule at no additional charge when a snowstorm blocked our scheduled time. Our group of six was able to complete the Cold War Check-In room, and had lots of fun while still working for it.
