School of Rock is a stellar music school with outstanding teachers and truly dedicated to each child's individual needs and quality. I was so impressed when I attended the end of camp show! The children sounded like a grown up band, and they practiced only 1 week!! My son Miles LOVES this school! We finally felt we found the right music school for him to grow his musical interest! If you are looking for excellence and a program that truly teaches your kid how to learn an instrument, look no further!

This is an excellent program! We attended the summer camps as well as the Rock 101 program during the school year. Kids get private lessons as well as group band practices, they move quickly and learn fast: playing songs, games, learning about music history, working together, making friends, and having fun. The instructors are highly talented musicians and excellent teachers who take the time to get to know each student. A great place to foster your child’s love for music, learn skill and discipline, and have fun!

The summer camp experience was fantastic! The instructors were incredible with the kids, and we were very impressed with how much they learned in such a short amount of time. I would highly recommend School of Rock to anyone with a kid interested in learning an instrument in a fun way.

My 6 yr old had a demo lesson for the rookie class yesterday and he loved it. The instructor was amazing, the facility is nice. No complaints. He will definitely be returning!

My son has been taking piano lesson here for about 2 years. He was with ChiWen for the fist year and due to schedule changes he is now with Zoe. They are both awesome! They are professional and are very patient with him. The front desk person Mathias is super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend the Harrison School of Music!

The staff is super attentive to every student’s needs, and they take everyone's playing skills into consideration. The ability to play with other people in a band hones your listening skills and has allowed me to meet so many wonderful and interesting people. I would definitely recommend School of Rock to anyone who wants to learn an instrument or continue to educate themselves on their instrument.

School of Rock White Plains is a group of friendly, encouraging, and
talented musicians and teachers. My child is very excited to go to their
private and group lessons. As a parent, it is great to see the children
perform at the end of a season. It gives the kids a sense of accomplishment
and a goal to work towards. 10 out of 10!

Our son recently informed me he would like to be a rockstar of course this was after watching the movie School of Rock. It’s a pretty solid rewatch with some fast forwards scenes that don’t age well in 2023 but the gist of the movie he loved. One of his friends was in music after care program in a random music spot on Bedford, it was weird and some random person holding a cat like she was a Villian in a bond movie left us running out of there. Then I suddenly remember School of Rock! Has a location and off we ran into there arms. From the moment we entered, we felt cool and shy too but more importantly, accepted all at the same time. This place is official, I highly recommend. We go to Brooklyn Arbor nearby and I pick him up and drop him off tons of parents doing the same. Anyway great spot all staff was super kind. Great work School of Rock! You Rock! Pun intended.

So I took my son for a trial run with a group of kids at this school last week on a Monday at the Madison Rd location, which he was so excited about, so he went in with (i forget her name..jenny?) and he was just excited about all the instruments, it was only him and another boy. I guess my son was too much for her because she said that he was not really focused on just one instrument and kind of all over the place and recommend Music Therapy because she is a music therapist and that an hour was too much for him, ( I was kind of shock and a little hurt that I didn't even ask her any other questions, but said ok and left) but she didn't recommend her services for a personal session or anything, so my husband called the next day and asked about the lady (the music therapist) that did the trial run with Aaron if she can call him back and recommend her services or if she has a referral. its been a little over a week and she has not returned his call. I also did tell them in the beginning he has a vision impairment) I just wish someone would of reached out and recommended something because my son loves music and he is not a bad kid.

Our daughter has been attending School of Rock for over a year. Out of all the after school activities she does, this is by far her favorite. The instructors are welcoming, friendly, and make the entire learning experience fun.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff always ready to help. I love getting phone calls periodically to see how my lessons are going. It really shows they care about their students. I also love the fact that they offer makeup lessons. The teachers are all so talented and are eager to teach you in any style. I have been taking guitar lessons here for the last 5 months and I have already learned so much. I highly recommend.

My son has been going to School of Rock for less than a year, and the progress he’s made has been tremendous. School of rock takes guitar lessons to whole new level. The staff and the instructors are great. He loves it, and I love to see the progress he’s making each week. This experience is something he will grow on and carry with him his whole life, definitely worth every penny.

Our son has been going to this School of Rock location for about a year now. A couple of months ago I checked-in with him to make sure he wanted to keep doing it, or would he prefer to just take private vocal lessons. He emphatically said “no way!” to private lessons and said he loved playing with the band. At SoR he does get weekly one-on-one lessons anyway (which he loves), in addition to the weekly band practice. In this last year our son has not just gained a lot of singing and performance skill, he has far more confidence and command and cool. It’s such a fit. The staff are awesome and it’s just an all-around fun place to be.

We're very happy with the opportunity to have individual and group lessons. As a parent, I have been super impressed by all of the staff at the Williamsburg location, from Siobhan at the desk to Henry's individual teacher, Jack, to Christian and Eliza, the teachers for his group lessons. I also deeply appreciate the amount of passion that Ian, the school's director and Ken, the owner have for musical education. We really appreciate you and can't wait to start another semester at School of Rock Williamsburg!

Awesome school! Both my kids love it! The instructors are great and make learning fun. I have played so many rock songs for my kids in the car that they said were terrible, and now they come in the car asking me to put them on! Mission accomplished! Lol. Great school highly recommend it!

My daughter has made incredible strides under Gerald’s piano instruction. He is patient, skilled, and has the right balance of “fun” and professionalism. We are very happy we found Norwalk School of Music!

Chris (my son's original drum teacher now turned music director) and Brian (my son's current teacher) are both amazing. Their excitement about drums and love of music makes my son feel the same. I think the comradery of the band is really great, it
is nice for my son to meet other kids of different ages outside of his school; making his
world bigger. performing as a band is also way less intimidating than a solo
recital performance, like most other music lessons

SOR Orangeburg is the best! I enrolled my children in SOR with the hope they would fulfill their musical fantasies. I can say wholeheartedly my daughter and son have excelled tremendously. SOR’s program is to get the kids to perform live on stage without fear. My kids started out with Rock 101 in tandem with the Performance Program and they love it. Each week, my daughter participates in private singing lessons with a vocal teacher followed by band rehearsal. After a few months she was asked to join the House Band where she travels around “gigging” with her classmates. She is breathing correctly, and her voice grows stronger and clearer with each lesson and performance. My son’s dream was to play the bass and his training at SOR gives him the skills he needs to become the backbone of a band. His training has helped him so much and he is now jamming to the likes of Red-Hot Chili Peppers and Rush. All of the teachers (vocal, bass ) and staff are amazing to work with and they make us all feel like we are family. Go check out SOR Orangeburg, you won’t be sorry!!!

School of Rock is awesome! I have long been interested in music, but felt intimidated to try and learn it as an adult. School of Rock's teachers are all awesome and make learning music approachable and fun, whatever age or level you are!

It was the best decision to enroll my child in Norwalk School of Music! Within weeks, my child's progression as a piano player is amazing. Gerald, the owner, has high expectations for his students and teaches his classes accordingly. It is refreshing to see a teacher view a young pupil as intelligent and capable. He is patient, yet each week sets a new goal. As a result, my child is eager to impress him each week, showing her refined piano skills. Gerald makes it clear that if the student is not willing to practice daily, then he'd rather not waste a parent's time or money. I appreciate that honesty. I look forward to the future of concerts and performances! My child is on her way, thanks to Norwalk School of Music!

My daughter LOVES School Of Rock! It has become her home away from home. She feels so comfortable being herself there. She has made amazing friends and loves all the teachers there! The teachers are always there for her for when she has a question, needs a supporting pep talk, or advice. They have created a great balance of keeping things fun but also challenging to push her further. SOR is my daughter’s favorite place to be!

all 3 of my grandchildren take lessons at Harrison School of music and they all love it. Chiwen is a great teacher for my granddaughter, Michael is wonderful with my other granddaughter, and my grandson just got a new teacher that he loves. It's a happy and stress-free environment.

We love School of Rock! Our son loves going here, he learns so much and has made great friends. The staff is caring and professional and works with each student on their individual level and makes sure they are in a program that works best for them. We are so glad we found the School of Rock and look forward to watching our son grow musically here for many years to come!

Just started and i already love it!

My son (then 7 years olds with no prior experience with musical instruments) had a great time and an amazing experience at The Beatles Summer Camp. Instructors and staff there are dedicated, professional, kind, and patient. Their diversified teaching strategies are helpful to kids and adults. My kid felt inspired and learned a lot. Matter of fact he decided to take guitar lessons. This is our second year with the School of Rock and my son still loves it there! I would recommend it to anyone. The kid will have a blast!!

What do I love about Williamsburg's School of Rock? I love the management -- because they are hugely customer-centric...they listen, are flexible, accommodating and always there to respond, help, offer solutions...fast. Of course I have been very happy with my daughter's work there -- under a number of their teachers and facilitators over the last 5 years. All have been terrific.

My 7 year old son loves School of Rock! He's done Rookies and Rock 101, and is taking drum lessons with Chris. The staff is organized, the teachers are great, and it's the highlight of my son's week. He's been taking drums for almost a year (mainly by zoom in the pandemic) and I can't say enough good things about how patient, fun and engaging Chris has been -- no small feat with a 6 - 7 year old through Zoom.

My son has been a student at School of Rock for almost 2 years. He takes private drum lessons and band lessons every week, and participates in their seasonal concerts. I can’t say enough wonderful things about his instructors. They are patient, knowledgeable and really bring out the best in the children. The school is well run and a lot of fun. We are grateful to have our son attend.

My daughter has been taking guitar classes at School of Rock for more than a year now. School of rock has been the best place for her. The instructors are very receptive of her level and tailored the lessons according to her. Last year was COVID pandemic, the school has been extremely cautious about prevention and spread of infection. I could not have been more happier with the instruction and overall work culture at The school of rock. I will recommend this place strongly for anyone who wants to take guitar lessons. The school of rock is the best place to start.

This place is great! My daughter took an intro lesson to see what she thought. Being a teen she was nervous at first and hesitant to go. Came out of the building happy and excited. She loves her instructor and what’s she is learning. She would go every day if possible. They are professional, warm, fun, and friendly. My child loves this place!
They have a cool program where you can do lessons on your instrument or voice. And then, if you choose to you can join a band also which meets there weekly. You get to decide what level you sign up for. It’s been a huge hit with my kiddo! Wish I had signed my older child up years ago.
They offer a really great program and we are so happy a friend turned us on to it!

I found Norwalk School through my search for a right fit for my son who was very reluctant to music lessons. After interviewing several instructors who can do online lessons for him he picked Gerald instantly. For past 3 months he has excelled under Gerald's teaching and breaks down with a new tune he is practicing often!

I'm an adult piano student at Washington Conservatory of Music where I receive superior instruction from Ms. Dionne Laufman. She makes learning fun! During the COVID-19 pandemic the lessons are being taught virtually. We haven't missed a beat! I like studying at WCM where I feel part of the music community. In addition to providing individual and class instruction on a variety of instruments (and voice), WCM offers public concerts, student recitals, and master classes. WCM is a great place to study music.

I started at WCM in 2016 as an adult piano student with Dionne Laufman. I had played the piano for several years as a child in Trinidad (my home country), but I had stopped as an adult. After several decades, I decided to resume piano and found WCM where I enrolled. It has been a very enlightening AND fun learning experience, and I am sorely disappointed that the pandemic has interrupted my personal lessons with a great piano teacher whom I love! The whole point of taking lessons on any instrument is to improve one's playing and technique in order to draw the most beautiful sound out of the instrument. I learned the basics as a child, but at WCM I entered a whole new world of learning with Ms Laufman. She was able to zero in on my faults and show me exactly what to do to correct them (the hallmark of a good teacher!). She taught me about color, and nuance, and touch, and posture, and technique, and so many other things that can transform music from plain and boring to beautiful and enchanting. After 4 years with Dionne, I can actually hear the tremendous improvement in my piano-playing and I am delighted with my progress! It is worth every penny I have spent. Others who have heard me play over the years have also remarked on it. I know that this is testament to the commitment and competence of my dear piano teacher at WCM. And from what I have seen, ALL the teachers at WCM are of this caliber! I would recommend WCM highly to anyone who is thinking about taking lessons on any instrument. In addition to the wide exposure and performance opportunities it provides in this culture-rich metropolitan area, the school is well-organized, well-run, and full of highly competent teachers who obviously love what they do!

My 13 year old son Luke has been learning to play drums at Gerald's for two years now. Gerald has covered the essentials of drumming and gotten Luke through many of the times when Luke needed to learn a new song for the youth worship band he is in, school performances and a youth Fine Arts competition he participated in as well. Gerald will know when his student is not practicing and will let them know how important it is to practice so that his students can reach their potential. With Gerald, Luke has learned how to read music, understand dynamics and have fun doing it. Gerald is a one of a kind teacher that you will not be disappointed in. He will let you know how you are doing and what you need to do to get better. Learning on your own or with the wrong teacher can cause a student to hit a wall in their progress and never have the tools to establish clarity or momentum. This will not happen with Gerald as your teacher. I recommend Gerald 100% to let you know where you are at and let you know what to do to get better. He is a professional in what he does.
