I called on behalf of an elderly friend because the Government of the District of Columbia was trying to take her home. She was a District resident who worked for the federal government for 47 years. She had a stroke at work and has had to stay with family while she recovers. Notices about her property had been sent to her dead mother. LCFTE did an intake interview with her and assigned an attorney to go to court with her the next day. She was so relieved and thankful for the help they provided to her. I’m truly grateful for their helping my friend.

Each time I called I was advised they could not take my case. I found it to be discouraging. Not advised immediately that they could not take my case. And was not given any advice. You would think they would be delighted to help and get experience, but not this group

Honorable professionals, depends. Why are genuine defense experts so out of reach. Lawyer with CANCER ought be restricted from practice twelve months before their expected termination - where the risk of clients life and freedoms are at stake. Not unlike the doctor performing a delicate life changing surgery. The same person has a little chance of being discovered before s/he died of Big C. And insurance will cover it in any event. Animated doctors/lawyers compartmentalize and dream, oh, I always wanted to do one of them surgeries/M1 trial anyway! He was unqualified but for AMA, loopholes and compassion for doctors and SURGEON. Gimme a break. I can do it. Or Legislate.

It took until the pandemic subsided, we finally got all the paperwork completed and the Power of Attorney and Will were completed. Took over a full year, but they kept in touch until the works was done. Great Work!!!

Un cero estrellitas se merecen. Es inconcebible como las pocas y unicas organizaciones de "ayuda" al hispano/imigrante no funciona el telefono cuando los llamas, dicen que no pueden devolver la llamada etc. Que hacen de ayuda entonces?? Seguro se jactan de sacar dinero del gobierno para "ayudar" a la comunidad hispana y se forran de dinero sin ayudar a nadie. Creo que se tiene que abrir una investigacion y auditoria para ver que hacen las personas que supuestamente "ayudan" al hispano/latino/imigrante. Mas vale que les metan pata y verdaderamente nos ayuden porque la falta de estar presentes siendo su trabajo estarlo podria traer consecuencias
