Sherrill Park Golf Course

Played course #1 on Tuesday and it was an overall good experience. The course itself is in really good shape with nice tee boxes and greens that roll pretty quick. As far as a public Dfw course it doesn’t get much better for the price. The one knock I have is the pace of play. It was a little slow for my taste but all in all not unbearable, we finished in 4hrs and 45 mins more or less. Good course, friendly staff, nice grass range.

Just a solid city course. Both 1 and 2 are fun and scoreable and as of late the conditions have been the best I’ve ever seen them, and I’ve been playing there for over 20 years. Best short game and putting area too!

Large / well done range, putting & chipping area with quality practice balls.
Active youth program & several lessons gave the venue a good vibe.
Pro shop & dining area clean, well done & staffed by friendly, professional people. ( I was a first timer & felt welcomed )
Course 1 from the tips is a solid test Fairways in great shape, water on a # of holes adds challenge. Greens are large ( were airrated which was disclosed at check in ). Should be great in 2 weeks.
Good variety of hole design requires shotmaking with a # of different club’s required

Pace of play was fast ( 1st group off ). Plenty of tee choices for all to enjoy the course

Learn how to schedule tee times. Last 3 times I’ve played this course I’ve left before 16 because I’m on the 5 hour mark. Absolutely pitiful and the staff does not care. Place used to be a good facility. Stay away, play anything else.

The drive-up is very neat and easy to get to in this long-running golf course.

Staff are efficient but short in their answers when answering your questions.

The clubhouse is very nice inside. The bathrooms are a little dated but clean. The bar and grill area are also dated but clean and efficient. No draft beer just cans and bottles.

The golf cart was clean and ran properly but showed signs of aging and there was no GPS for the course.

We played course 2 which was a little challenging with all the different hazards of water, sand, and other holes right on top of each other. They would benefit from marking this course a little better as at times you weren't sure you were going in the correct direction.

This is definitely a course I will return back to.

Played a tournament here. The course was nice and the staff was attentive. We had a good time!

So disappointed!!! The green is not the green. It's worse than fairway. The worst thing was the smell.. my friend got headache cz that smell. We couldn't even putting correctly. The green was not smooth and clean. Not going there for awhile.
