The food is pretty good, a hint of authentic Mexican. The margarita flights are great. Any and all the margaritas are usually very good. I'm pretty sure I have had all of them. Never-ending chips and salsa for the table. Home-made salsa is very good, and the jerk wings are great.

This one is HARD. Rating on service, 11/10! Amazing people, from the hostesses to the wait staff.
Ambiance, also excellent. Beautiful vibe. Comfy booths. Cool aesthetic. Loved absolutely everything... Except the food.

Y'all. This was the worst food of any kind that I've had in Maine, and the second worst Mexican food I've ever had in 40 years and a lot of travel.

The salsa tasted like Pace picante sauce and ketchup. Chunky, sweet, & tangy, and just all kinds of wrong.
We ordered "queso" as a work around to that issue. The cheese dip was NOT queso, not even queso-esque. It was edible, though, whereas the salsa literally was not even choke-down-able. So we salvaged the appetizer round.

The drinks menu is twice as large as the menu. No issue to have a small menu, if you do what's on it very well. This was not the case. There were limited options, just the descriptions were suspicious especially after the start we'd had, and the food proved worse than we even feared. His chimi had some type of brown gravy like substance in it, and more of the "queso" on it. The plating was awful, the burrito literally plopped on top of the "refried beans" and everything just kind of tossed together haphazardly.
The beans were more like thick, barely flavored pinto beans, and the rice was radioactive orange, with almost NO flavor. Spanish rice should taste of chicken bouillon, tomato, chili powder, cumin, and onion. It should be delicious. This tasted like white rice but where someone dropped an AZO tablet into the cooking water. And nothing else.
My chili relleno was almost decent. By itself, it would have been. However, they plated it in the bowl-like plate with the disgusting rice and beans, and a sauce that I honestly still can't figure out. It was like if you tried to make Colorado green chili but didn't actually have the ingredients or recipe, just a general idea and the skills and taste buds of a 9 year old. It was almost gelled, pinkish, and just nasty. I plucked the stuffed pepper out of the mess almost as soon as I saw it and placed it on the "queso" skillet. That allowed me to eat it, at least.
I had elected to add the "Baja shrimp" thinking that would come on top or on the side.
It was 3 plain shrimp INSIDE the pepper, and therefore rubbery and overcooked AF.

Nothing tasted right, very little tasted anything close to good, and not everything was even edible enough to choke down. It's sad, bc the place hits every other mark, and the only other Mexican place in town has horrible service and medium-meh to moderately decent food.

I guess we have to drive to Ellsworth or Portland if we want decent Mexican food while we're in Maine.

Again, best waitstaff possible. Just horrible food, which is kinda the point of going.

Pulled off the interstate and seen this Mexican Restaurant. Walked in and was able to get a seat right away during busy dinner time. The lunge and patio are seat yourself. The atmosphere was very lively and pleasant. You get fresh salsa and nachos right out of the gate. Order margaritas which were good but not great the selection is pretty vast so be prepared to not be able to decide. The food came out in a good enough time frame but ordering drinks did take some time as it was a very busy place. Service was friendly and helpful with great suggestions for new comings unsure of the dishes.

Always crowded with people from the hotel, and the food is horrible. I've never had a good experience regarding the food, which is always twice as expensive and not even the quality of fast food. It's literally worse. Doesn't matter what you ordered, I guarantee you it was frozen, or microwaved, or made in enormous batches with little care to quality. Had to entertain a client here last week and am embarrassed for the restaurant. Literally anywhere else, better than this. It is truly beyond me why this place is packed all the time.

Super burrito was not super in any way you look at it. Service was fine.

We were looking for a family restaurant that wasn’t complete junk food. This place used to be good (we’d been to both in the Portland area too, consistently good over the years) so we expected it to be busy, and it was on a Saturday evening. Half of our party got there first and was seated, when we arrived they had no idea who our party was so we had to wander around until we found them. The decor is the same as pre-pandemic but that’s it. The menu is completely different and yet when we received our food it was all essentially the same. And not good at all. No one finished their meal (it all was just swimming in pump cheese, soupy beans and carrot colored rice). But you could get a rocket pop in a margarita if you wanted (ewww). Never mind.

Always been a fan of Margaritas. Though not authentic Mexican food, it is very good. I really enjoy the drinks there. Had the monthly Margaritas flight there, and it was tasty though not my favorite. Not a huge menu but you really can't go wrong with anything there. Waitress was very good.

Ordered 2 Juan’s way burger with fries and 2 orders of chicken tenders, 1 being regular and 1 being chipotle.

The burgers and fries were fantastic, BUT THE CHICKEN.

The chicken tenders used to be fantastic, no 2 alike, from chicken breast. Now, they are the same chicken that McDonald’s uses for chicken nuggets but not as crispy. They were edible yes, but not the quality you’d expect from Margaritas. Be aware.
