The station is nice inside and has a modern look, and the Metrorail is far cleaner and more comfortable than the subway systems in other U.S. cities. The location is convenient and close to the major attractions of Washington D.C. if you do not mind seeing a tent village opposite from the exit. Did get a shock when I saw a homeless guy leaning against the fence of the escalator 😅

Convenient metro station, used it a few times with no issues. The staff were helpful and friendly too.

Clean and convenient! Also has a few shops inside!.

I can’t speak for the train station itself, but the area at the top of the escalators is jam packed with homeless people. I was very uncomfortable just walking past as a number of men watched me pass. This was a real shock, so close to the White House!

Clean station inside. Train on time. Clear directions on the train. Minus 1 star for having Homeless people hangout outside the station entrance. Expected better appearance for being so close to White House and Govt buildings.

It is the closer station to the White House. If you are planning on visiting the neighborhood on a budget this is your best option, as it is served by three different lines; the orange, the blue, and the silver. The trains arrive very often to this location. One station away, at Metro Center you can change with the red line that goes to Union station.

Central location blocks from the White House. It breaks my heart to see the homeless campsite at the entrance at 14th St NW near the Five Guys. A sad commentary on our society that we have people sleeping on the street, and the homeless people camped out there have formed their own little community. They have always been very grateful and appreciative for any food or money. When we see scenes like this in America, maybe we should stop and ask ourselves what we can do to help, rather than to be scornful or judgemental. I understand that some people may be fearful, but don't be. I can personally tell you that I use this station all the time, even late at night, and have never had a problem. God Bless.
