Very interesting historical museum for all who wants to know more about GDR history and infamous Stasi
Fascinating museum, small but packed with interesting artefacts
It is curated elegantly, and price is very acceptable; however the Audioguide is storytelling a long Story, instead it would be great to have short Audioguide and at the same time, written notes for description next to objects.
Lots to read and learn. You can stay for an hour, feel lost in your head, yet happy that you stopped here.
Enormously interesting museum whose big feature is its authenticity: it looks inside just as it looked when the Stasi office was taken over by Leipzig citizens' committee. Tons of fascinating details and objects showing a history of totalitarianism.
For a Pole who lived under communist rule it might not be surprising but still some details show how systems differed. For tourists from the West, or for younger people, it's a must see just to understand how terrible communism in practice was.
Great audio guide in Polish - clear, complete and without any mistakes. And all this for just 5 euros.

Everyone should see this museum! It reminds us that that stopping this sort of Orwellian nightmare depends on many brave people working together and organizing intelligently. It also reminds us that we must have a free press in places with the power to pressure evil regimes. The museum only costs 5 euros for a headset with the tour in your language of choice. It is a must-see if you're in Leipzig!

Very cool authentic gear from real DDR stasi operations. The museum isn't super big, not well ventilated, and all text is in German, but you get access to an audio guide in English if you ask at the reception.
