Perfectly positioned hotel surrounded by a ton of restaurants in National Harbor. I was incredibly impressed by the staff—they all were unfailingly friendly, polite, and cheerful.
A special shout out to front desk person, Maria! Not only did she help me check in way early, she greeted me every time she saw me…by name and with a wonderful smile.
As a platinum Marriott card holder, I have stayed in all levels of Marriott properties. Some of the 5 and 6 star Marriotts could learn some things about outstanding customer service from this staff at just the 3 star AC Hotel. Bravo.

Stayed in Room 812 12/1/2023 to 12/3/2023 loved the location service was Great Room not bad but had mildew on the ceiling, and the room smelt a little musky took pictures of mildew Toilet had, black marks in it Not sure if it was dirt or scratches in the toilet but overall not bad would stay there again, and recommend it.

The rooms are new and up-to-date. However, there are areas that need attention.
Farm/barn style doors on bathrooms make no sense. Stop installing them in restrooms, especially with inadequate ventilation. No one wants to share restroom sounds and smells with the family.
The room was incredibly drafty. The balcony was beautiful, but the cold November air poured in without remorse. This is easily remedied by sufficient seals around the door. The heating unit was extremely loud, yet inefficient. The warm air produced was blown in a direction that brought little comfort to the room's occupants. From my initial inspection, the filter looks well overdue for changing. Even after setting the thermostat to 76 degrees, the room is still frigid. Requesting a refund at this point is a waste of time. I certainly do not recommend staying here in cold weather. The space is visually appealing but lacks the comfort of home.

Stayed here while on business trip to DC - short walking distance to 20 different restaurants, great waterfront view with jogging trail, nice European chic. Lobby has plenty of seating and nice outdoor area. Relatively inexpensive compared to downtown DC.

Had an overnight stay at AC Hotel Marriott. Beautiful room clean neat. Custom service staff was very friendly and helpful. It's in a great location w/ parking deck (close) across the street. Would recommend as a good place to stay.

While laying in the bed I felt something crawling on me. I then found bugs crawling around on the bed. I took videos of the bugs and took it to the front desk. The clerk asked me to email the video and she advised that she will need the manager to override a refund to accommodate my stay.
Once the night manager came to the front, he advised that he can only offer me free breakfast to accommodate my stay since I was already using a discount through my membership. He then states that he would check it out or investigate the room. I then said okay let’s go check out the room together and he refused to go look at the room with me.
I wanted to book additional nights but I was highly disappointed with the cleanliness of my room. I am not satisfied with the experience of my stay. I do not think that just because I used a discount through a membership explore rate that I’m not worthy of a refund for this type of disappointing experience.

I've stayed at 100s of Marriott properties over the last 40 years. The staff at National Harbor AC have been the best over the others. They are gracious, outgoing and have been able to provide the little things that make a hotel more of a home while on the road. The location here is superior as well. Thanks to them for a great ongoing stay.
