Went years ago. Same spot! New people! There were 2 bartenders… one was super cool but the other seemed like he needed a drink??? Maybe he was annoyed that we (ladies) were cool with the other bartender (that’s the vibe we got)!
What a fun place, we happened upon this bar while looking for live music, they were having a ta o truck that night so, of course we waited for that..
The GF had a margarita or 2 and swears they were really good from her memory..
I shot pool and ended up meeting a good handful of locals, all wonderful people and fun to shoot pool against.. there was fun and good people inside and out at this bar..
If/when I'm out this way, ill be back for sure .
You can bring food in or eat what the guys are cooking out back.if you get there on the right day...

Drinks are well priced and pretty loaded. Karaoke is fun and not too crowded. They also have a TouchTunes jukebox.
The male bartender/manager was so nice (the girl bartender not so much), the performers were awesome, the patrons friendly... It was just great!
Small bar with a lot of heart. Had live music and excellent cocktails a d beer/wine.
A karaoke bar with pool table. Not a fancy one but ok. Encountered an obnoxious female from the crowd while playing pool with a few friends. She told my female friend to beat all the men, and her tone was hateful. She could have just said to win, and not add men to the equation, cause that just showed men hating woman. This was my first time there. The karaoke sound was not good, well I am a sound engg and a performer so I am picky. There were a few karaoke singers taking turns, they were having fun.
Ah, The Barrel. One of the haunts of my youth; now reincarnated as one of the best taverns in all of Los Angeles. All of the elements are there. Good strong pours, swell music, happy customers. Three thumbs up. Recommended.
