The playground is cute , however there are rats all over. The sand never gets pile back to the Sandbox and when the children run away they slip and fall.

Nice area for the kids to play. I would definitely come back and recommending this park to anyone

Sand pit, water play area, clean and safe kids play zones

A very fun playground in the heart of FiDi!

Solid playground next to the Seaport. There are 2 jungle gyms (a windmill themed one for older kids and another smaller one for toddlers), a small splash pad, a sandbox, and swings. Plus, plenty of seating for parents. The playground was very clean, and my toddler had a blast!

Great small park. There is a section for big kids and toddlers, baby swings,a sandbox, and sprinklers. The park is enclosed with only 1 exit.

My 2 granddaughters really enjoy the Pearl Street Playground. It has a good variety of climbing and sliding devices, safety swings for the little ones, plenty of space for running and cavorting plus it's all on a nicely cushioned ground cover that makes the occasional fall less painful. They also have a sprinkler ball and water play area for splashing fun in hot weather.
In my opinion it is best for 3 to 6 year olds, but my 1 year old granddaughter liked it a lot and I saw several kids who were probably 8 or 9, so it apparently appeals to a wider range of children.
Compared to other parks, it is a bit smaller, but there were plenty of benches for care givers and lots of space to park strollers. Because of the ages of most of the children, there was a lot of adult supervision which made the playground feel safer. I also liked the security fence. It kept little ones from wandering away, but was easy to access for adults.
Because it was just across the street from the South Street Seaport Tourist area, folks visiting the city might want to join the locals and stop by for their kids to get a little break in a long day of sightseeing.
One additional observation: Because some people obviously feed them, there were quite a few pigeons. Some kids liked that and some were a bit afraid.
We only visited the playground a few times over the winter months, but we look forward to spending many happy hours there with our granddaughters as the weather warms up this summer.
