Great birdwatching, nice well maintained trails, and plenty of parking. Highly recommend! Good for walking and fresh air.

Beautiful place, plenty of trails, just outside of PHL and fairly easy to find (kinda)

Great walking trails and a boardwalk across the pond. Some trails for walking and some for biking. Dogs limited a main path. The visitor center with great displays and history. Volunteer Docents were available to answer questions. Was able to do some birding and observer the flora and fauna of the Refuge.

I adore going to John Heinz for walks or riding my bike. I love seeing the wildlife as I travel through .... Even the very mean geese.

I love going to the wetlands lookout to 🌬️ and relax while listening to the wind.

Sometimes there's no running water in the bathrooms.

Overall I enjoy the opportunity to experience nature here. I do, however, have concerns about water contamination... ☣️

Great place to hike and learn about this important bird migratory flyway. Good venue for family hikes. Ran into several STEAM urban youth groups learning about flora & fauna.

Great place for hiking. We saw numerous bird species including the pair of bald eagles that nest there, and a red fox. The paths are not shady, tho, so wear sunscreen and a hat. The signage was well done, with explanations of the plants and animals and why the wetlands are important.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I have an hour and a half to 2 hours to kill. The main loop around the water is fantastic mixture of wetland that is being conserved and maintained properly. The refuge is a huge asset to the people of Philadelphia and any visitors that come hour away. Don't miss it!
