Had planned to eat in the restaurant but staff very rude, took ages to speak to us and then claimed no availability at all that day - despite being able to book on the website for 30mins later! Decided just to get a takeaway instead of arguing with him and waiting. Can't fault the food - perfect fish supper with great mushy peas and tartare sauce and friendly service from the takeaway staff.

Fish and chips are delicious. The outer layer was crispy and addictive. Inner fresh was juicy. The tartar sauce elevated its taste to another level. 5 stars

Unfortunately, front line staff of such wonderful food are those not well trained. When we ask for a table to dine in. The staff immediately turned down us by saying full hiuse and turned their face away. When we asked about alternative dine in time, he replied by one word "none". When we asked to take away then he just said next door. When we went in the next glass door, he abd other lady staff shout at us "this is exit, not entrance". When we were alerted and move to order, but the staff insisted us to go out from exit then come in again from entrance although there were no persons in the queue at that time.

Finally we made the orders and ate outside at shopfront.

Large Battered Haddock

The best fish in town. Delicious, freshly prepared, tender and juicy Haddock fish in crispy batter.

Love it !

Good access by tram and car. (parking lot behind the restaurant) You can eat there - it's a bit more expensive, or take away and eat at home or outdoors on the waterfront.

The restaurant was easy to get to on the tram, followed by a short walk. We were given a very friendly welcome on arrival, having booked a table earlier in the day. The calamari was exceptional, not in the least bit chewy, as you often find. This was followed by a great fish and shellfish stew, and tasty monkfish curry. The unfiltered IPA from the local Pilot Beer brewery, was very enjoyable.

Battered oyster was tasty and fresh.
The lobster was well-cooked and the fish & chips was among the best we had ever had.
I was especially interested in the batter blend, which had very good texture and taste.
We enjoyed the drinks and the apple crumble too.

Will definitely visit again.

It is the only fish restaurant in the area the day we went and we had our fish and chips to take away.
A good portion of fish and a bit short for chips.
We paid £20 in total for two medium fish and a small portion of chips( £3.50)
It is a bit expensive compared to other places which they do not use frozen chips.

The staffs at the restaurant were so welcoming and friendly. It was a great experience from the start as we arrived at the restaurant at exactly 2.55 PM, which was our reserved time. We were fully satisfied with the service and the food. The fish & chips and oysters were especially delicious - I couldn't get enough of them! The gin and beer were also amazing. The view from the restaurant was an added bonus. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again.
