We've hiked this trail in the fall since our girls were quite young. The trial is scenic with a couple of small ponds, one on each loop. The first loop can be completed on its own. For a longer hike with easy access to the pond the second loop makes for a nice extended hike.
Some sections can have quite a lot of tree roots, which would make it difficult for some people.

Nice and beautiful hiking trail - but needs some additional trail markers as in the fall it’s hard to figure out where the trail leads to lol
Great trail with two options. The information centre is closed but you can use the parking lot and hike anytime
An excellent spot for a mushroom foray awaits. Be ready for mosquitoes if you venture out in August, and ensure you have suitable footwear as the forest interior tends to be quite muddy.
Love this trail however since the tourist place closed at the trail head, the trails in the back end are filling in and a few trees down.
A very beautiful short hike through the woods right next to the highway, although you'll quickly forget you're so close to the road as you wander through the forest to the lake. It's 2.8km if you do both connected loops (and about half as far if you choose to do only one loop). The business hours only affect the little visitor center and washrooms as the trail seems to be always open.
Short hike with nice elevation changes. Bring an extra pair of socks as my feet got soaked even with waterproof shoes. Would be better if we had snow shoes.
