The museum has a rich history and offers a deep dive into Egypt’s past, making it a worthy destination for enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
A primary concern is the museum’s navigation. The lack of a clearly defined pathway through the exhibits can lead to a disjointed experience and groups bumping into each other.
While the museum provides an audio guide on their website, its utility is hampered by a key issue. The artifacts lack corresponding numerical identifiers, making it difficult to match the audio descriptions with the physical exhibits. This discrepancy can lead to confusion, as the names on the website often do not align with those displayed on the exhibit labels.
The lower floor (Floor -1) requires improvements. The lighting in this area is insufficient, diminishing the visibility and impact of the exhibits. Additionally, the descriptive labels are predominantly in Italian, which may alienate non-Italian speaking visitors. Providing multilingual labels could enhance inclusivity and understanding. The spotty WiFi connection on Floor -1 further complicates the use of the online audio guide. In an era where digital aids are increasingly integral to the museum experience, reliable internet access is essential.
The air in the museum felt quite heavy and we felt very tired after a while.
It is essential to book tickets in advance as there is usually a long queue to buy tickets.

Great museum with extensive collection of beautiful Egyptian artifacts and excavations. Plan to spend at least 1.5-2 hours here.

This is a lovely museum with an exhaustive collection. I now understand why Egypt is so much dessert because it seems that the ancients, and for thousands of years, used up all the soil for clay ink wells, vessels, lamps and uncountable numbers of bits and pieces.
It is well laid out and easily navigated. There are elevators, escalators and lockers. (One must leave an ID at the coat check for the key). Audio guides are available. Photography is allowed.
My entry was included in the Turino Card, (which was worth it), and we reserved a day and time. (I arrived an hour early and was able to enter, it was not a crowded day and a Monday--->). They are open on Mondays which is a good day as other museums and palaces are closed.

Great museum with extensive collection of beautiful Egyptian artifacts and excavations. Very interesting to learn about the links between Turin and Egypt, and the history of the Egyptian antiquities trade. Plan to spend at least 1.5-2 hours here.

A museum with a lot of exhibits. it is worth booking at least 3-4 hours for sightseeing. All very interesting. It's a pity that there were no descriptions in English everywhere. It is worth taking a phone and headphones, because on the website you can listen to recordings explaining some of the exhibits. It is often crowded, so you have to keep that in mind. I recommend!

A really wonderful collection of artifacts from ancient Egypt. You can download an audio guide and listen to it on your phone and with your own headphones. It’s quite a large collection. You start at the top story and work your way down. Expect to spend at least two hours.
One thing I appreciated about the museum was the respectful way they handle human remains. They were displayed separately and labeled so people could avoid if they wished. The separation also helped it feel more like a sacred and respectful place for the people, while still allowing us as living people to learn from the stories they have to tell.

As a fan of history, and Egypt, this place gives you the chills.
A superb blue eyes gentleman, dark hair, tall and slim - invites you inside of the museum - he is just adorable!!
There is a small queue at the tickets office, but it is expected, under 5 minutes. You have a spot for your clothes/bags, so do not worry about that.
Honestly, a superb experience. Turin has done a lot of excavation in the past in Egypt, so they have a tone of artefacts.
Tickets were €18 per person, and I bought them on the spot, on a Saturday. It wasn’t very busy, but still a good amount of people. Was it worth it? Hundred percent!
Has 4 floors (starts at -1) and over 14 rooms for you to explore.
It took me over 1.5 hrs to get through it, but I have not read every single bit of piece that’s in there. If you want to read every bit, get ready for little over 4 hours!!!
There is a coffee shop in there, brilliant choice of sandwiches and drinks; prices were decent too.
You can take some audio devices to explain things around the place, so that’s a good option too.
Overall, 10/10 for Egypt and history lovers.
