Zomorrod Waterfall

Before reaching Astara, a rural road with beautiful views leads you to the waterfall. After about fifteen minutes of walking on a beautiful mountain path, you will reach the desired location. Definitely recommended.

Zomorrod waterfall is located in heart of mountains which covered with dense forest. this waterfall placed 45 km north of Talesh, and nine km from the Bazaar of Hawiq town, Gilan province. It welcomes tourists and climbers from all over Iran in all seasons, but the best season to visit is summer.
same as the village, waterfall is called zomorrod. Zomorrod means “emerald” in Persian. The waterfall – one of the most beautiful ones in Iran.
There are two nearby waterfalls in the area, also known as the Twin Falls. One is big and full, while the other is small and low in water. The small waterfall is tiered, consisting of two steps which are four and eight meters high. The height of the big waterfall, on the other hand, is about 15 meters.

after driving your car to the village, you should walk for half an hour. at the end you will see two waterfalls near eachother. there is fantastic nature. in summer season you can swim in waterfall lake evenso take extra clothes . there are some rural suits made by local community that you can stay for night.
