Did the walk around the lake, nice clean paved trail

To me, this is one of the best parks in the Emerald Necklace. The bird watching is great. Everything from Cardinals to Eagles and of course Buzzards flying lazily around ..
You can do just about every activity there is, all centered around the beautiful lake. Hopefully the reconstruction program on the dam goes quickly. Can't wait to get back out on the water!

We are so grateful to have the Metroparks. Hinckley is a great place to hike. There's miles of trails. The lake loop is a 3 mile loop around Hinckley lake, or you can veer off and go into the woods where there are miles more trails.
Intend on spending a day here. Hinckley Reservation has something for everyone from chilling, picnics, biking or hiking. Plenty of parking and restrooms for your convenience. I biked around the lake, what a joy. I also hiked Whipp's Ledges - a great workout. Definitely a place to re-visit as there are too many points of interest to take in, in one day.
