Wonderful museum! It tells the entire life and artistic story of the great Van Gogh. An immense collection with many paintings and some of the most famous, such as the sunflower and almond trees. The audio guide is very good, explanatory and very interactive. They have activities for children, inside there is a cafe and an extensive souvenir shop.

One of the best museums.
I recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid queues.
A really nice museum with three floors where you can learn about Vincent's life, childhood, illness, death and much more.
Spoiler alert: If you are expecting to see "The Starry Night", it is the only painting that is not in this museum nevertheless you are going to enjoy hundreds of masterpieces.

Suggestive place. You have to visit it if you love Van Gogh. The only pity is that from the outside the building is so grey and sad. That artist is famous for his colour and his way to see the world, so maybe it deserved it something totally different.

The museum is arranged in a way that you get immersed in the life of Vincent, seeing must of his masterpieces, the closure is really great to make it meaningful and be more empathetic with people suffering melancholic. The family activities are amazing you can paint like Vincent and an art expert is guiding you. Seeing kids knowing more about Vincent's life and his master pieces is very positive, I would be back again for sure.

Sundays are better because there are less people. Purchase the ticket in advance and enjoy a lineless entry. With lockers for backpack ans big bags, they have wonderful stores to purchase books and also souvenirs.

Take your time to appreciate classical images.

Purchase the tickets online as they are usually sold out in the museum.

Loved my experience here. Note that you must book online and ahead of time. And be prepared for crowds.

Excellent tribute to Van Gogh's life. All his famous works are here, including sunflowers and self portraits.

The Versailles exhibition is a nice extra. Audio guide is truly excellent.

Lockers provided, excellent gift shop, cafes & restaurants, plenty of seats.

No negatives except for the crowds.

Must see museum in Amsterdam. Spent the morning enjoying all of the masterpieces on display. Self led audio tour was great and was able to learn a lot about Van Gogh’s life as an artist and see other artists paintings that inspired him. Interesting and sad to see how his paintings changed as his mental health declined over time. Really enjoyed my time here. Highly recommend.
