Hakka Wok

Tried this place many times, and each time was a miss and finally gave up coming here. There aren't many Hakka choices in this area compared to Scarborough so you are left with limited options. I would recommend Tangra Villa, it's a take out only place but the food quality is better and most importantly the customer service is 100 percent better. The lady at Hakka Wok is always screaming for some reason.

I have been eating here for many years now . it taste of the food has always been very good. especially when we eat it there and then.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. From the previous reviews I was skeptical of the quality and quantity of food but the food we ordered tasted pretty good. They could have given more for the cost but overall I would definitely consider ordering from here again. The chili chicken was definitely decent!

Tired of eating salads cuz u made a New Years Resolution to yourself ? Want an explosion of flavas in yo mouth? This place has gotchu. You got the perfect definition of value here:
1 - Run down looking place where u feel gross eating there so you rather just get take out
2 - unpleasant Asian lady at the front taking your order with swearing Cantonese speaking chefs in the back. Mommy , stop yelling at me.
3 - Flavas in yo mouth

There are only 2 things to get here:
Chilli Chicken (aka Slop on rice)
Bombay Chicken (dry option without slop)

Getting anything else, I'll be like, "why man, why did u do that. You're setting yourself up for disappointment and dishonour to your family." Just choose one of those 2 please and get ready for mouth explosion.

Probably the best Bombay Chicken dish in Markham. This Hakka establishment blows away the competition with bold flavours and the right ratio of quality meat to rice. The lunch special also comes with soup and a drink all for under $15.

You can't go wrong with their daily specials: Your choice of entree, soup of the day, deep fried spring roll, and drink for $9.50. Is this going to be the best Chinese you've ever had? No. Is it the most authentic Hakka? No. But if you have a craving for quick Chinese at a good price in East Markham, this is a good option. Avg 3 stars + one for value.

I usually go for the Chili Chicken, Hakka chicken Chow Mein, and Beef Ho-Fun.

I have much respect for this family - they work extremely hard.

January 2023 Update: Tried their Bombay chicken, it's even better than the chili chicken!

Got chilli beef and Bombay paneer.
Personally the paneer was to drY BUT that being said it was deliciously seasoned.

The chilly beef is battered and fried chunks which is different however it doesn't change the flavor of the meal. I ordered from UberEATS so i was worried it would be cold/gross because of the delivery time but it was honestly perfect.
