It's a necessary means by which one can grab 40-50% discounts, but expect curt, borderline rude and distinctly pushy/unhelpful service. Be prepared by going to the theatre/shows website in advance, see the layout, maybe even see what seats are left (if the theatre offers this) so you can make an informed decision on the spot - have it up on your phone before getting to the window. Check the tkts website/app in advance too. Have a backup show in mind. Pro tip... Go ALONE and you might score a "front row" single seat for an unsurpassed deal
They have helpful people outside who can help you, wearing broadway tshirts. There was no queue when I went so was straight to a window. The guy quoted me $95 for a ticket in a nice seat but then told me to hang on for a second and then a couple minutes later he came back to say they were now $111. I was a bit annoyed but went ahead anyways. They were great seats and I had a ball at the show.
Got a great deal for the Harry Porter and the cursed child..

It also happened to be the 5th Anniversary of the show and there were surprise winners after the show.
Watching the broadway show on timesquare is a must do activity.

On a rainy ☔ day, I was FIRST on line at TKTS and got 6th row center orchestra seats at 50% discount to the untold Neil Diamond story and musical, 'A Beautiful Noise' on Broadway. I didn't know Neil Diamond's story, and it was interesting learning about it and hearing his hits belted out by the talented actors. They even had our audience join in to sing. I highly recommend seeing the show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You can buy tickets for select Broadway shows for up to 50% off, but there is usually very few choices of available seating, if any choice at all. I must say that most of the seats we've gotten were fairly good. There's usually a long line with tons of people trying to get you to see one of the struggling plays on Broadway. That's a little annoying but the price savings is worth the 'annoyance'.
They open at 11 for the same day matinee tickets and start selling tickets for the evening shows at 1. You need to be in line much earlier.
The tickets are discounted and usually great seats. We paid $141.20 for & Juliet which sell for $312.00.

Great place for last minute discount tickets for available Broadway and Off Broadway shows. Lines are usually long on Wednesdays and weekends. Worth the wait for the savings anytime!
