East River Esplanade

The best place to watch the sun set downward in the evening

A hidden gem of a park. A great place for views of Queens and some of the interesting buildings on the East area of Manhattan such as the UN building. It’s a quiet spot popular with joggers & dog walkers. Whilst there aren’t any ‘attractions’ is a great place to unwind and to enjoy the relative peace and quiet next to the East River.

The esplanade is really a good place to walk, exercise, meditate, or walk your dog. It has plenty of benches and 2 small dog parks. The esplanade is always well maintained and connects with Pier 34, where you can take the different boats to Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Wall Street, or to a pier on the Hudson River. The esplanade also connects to the heliport. NYU hospitals are nearby, so the esplanade provides a good place for people, with relatives in the hospital, to take a break.

Just to sit and chill, close to everything but still far from the craziness

Waterfront walkway on the east river coast of Manhattan. Placed in upper east side and good for biking and views of Roosevelt Island.

Its a neat little park with nice small rounded benches with some tree coverage. Up the road is a few picnic tables to eat at but they dont have any shade. Its also a bit loud because its by the highway. Despite that though it's a nice relaxing spot with a view.
