One of the most highly rated restaurant in Jakarta that even need some time to do reservation. Even they asked 500K per person when you reserve. When we were there, there's no ala carte menu. Only 2 menus available. Chef's tasting and Chef's Journey. There were 5 of us and we all order Chef's Journey for 1.650K per person not including drinks. Expect to add another 100 to 300K per person when ordering non alcoholic drinks, and lots more when you order the alcoholic ones.
There were 17 menus in total. Some are really hit the mark. Some we don't really like. The octopus all of us in the table don't really like it. The other is good.. Not the best food you've ever tasted... But its good nonetheless.
The lamb is super tender, the service is excellent, the ambience is on point. And both chefs/owner of this place actually came to our table several times to mingle with us for a bit while telling what food that they served. Really appreciate they taking their time to go to each table randomly.
One thing for nitpicking though, as we were just came from Nama*z Dining like 2 weeks before, we are comparing the two resto naturally whether we like it or not. Yes Its different concept I know.. Price also different so the comparison is not apple to apple 100% but because we spent more than 1mil per person you will compare them naturally.
Well just one thing, overall experience Nama*z can't be beaten, and I'm actually really full after 16 courses there. After go back from here? I actually still ate Indomie again at home 😂😂
However... The overall food, August is better. The best food from N**z can't beat even the 2nd best course here. Some of the courses really slap you in the face with flavor. So why I gave food 4 stars? Well only because of the octopus. For us in the table its just taste a little weird. All the other courses hits home though.. And they HIT HARD!
So in conclusion, you want experience? N**z is better.. Definitely better, but if you want damn good food overall, you may try here. The service is better that N**z, the chefs who comes to table is really appreciated, and the ambience is better than N**z. You gotta at least try both rhen its perfection.

What a fantastic dining experience it was at August. Fantastic food, great presentation, and a top-notch atmosphere. There were 2 menus to choose from - Tasting menu (12 course) and Chef’s Journey (16 course). I went with the Chef’s journey and the additional courses were really worth it. All the courses were incredibly flavourful and the cooking techniques really shine through.
Service was exemplary. The rest also catered to my food allergies by replacing some ingredients in a couple of courses.
All in all, this restaurant is a must visit if you’re in Jakarta. If Jakarta were to have a Michelin guide, August would probably be the first one to get a star

The most overrated restaurant. Spent 4 millions for 2 people and was served with glorified street food. Will never come back. this is the major problems with bribing unqualified influencers to review a restaurant. they always think expensive equal to delicious, but it was not like that.
The front desk woman is very rude. Requested for non smoking section but ended placed near smoking area.
The waiter does not know the menu at all. i hate it when someone say everything is great, but the reality was such a far cry.
Ordered the fish soup thing..... the fish is too dry and the soup is to tasteless.
The japanese wagyu is the most disappointing menu. how could the chef served such a bad taste wagyu. it is wagyu....you grilled it with salt and it can be amazing, BUT Instead it was the worst wagyu i have ever eaten. THE WORST.
The roast pork was another disaster... i might as well get myself to a street food pork joint rather than eating in this restaurant.
The asparagus....................................... i could have cook it better myself. even i am not a good chef.

This was a very amazing experience. “Chef’s Journey” menu was simply impressive. Insanely great food topped with extremely attentive staff that made the whole experience completely wonderful. The whole journey since entering through the restaurant door until we left can only be described as pure perfection.

I have been to many michelin places. This is the first place that the staff, the chef, the managing partner greets you by your name. Makes you feel uber special ✨ how epic cool is that to coordinate this?!
The vibe is unlike any other fancy michelin places. This place feels like home. Fun with friends. A place that you can visit more than once.

A unique experience.
Me and friends decided to try this place, so we went there for dinner. As suggested by the well-informed waiter, we proceeded to the 16 menus program.
My overall view;
All of the dishes almost contained local ingredients, mixed in with other ingredients, and wow, really amazing #kudos to the idea creator.....and was worth it....

Had a wonderful dining experience in August. Ordered the chef’s journey tasting menu. The food is rich in flavours, mostly with Indonesian-inspired, and served in perfection. Service is also great.
