This review is for the ULZ department in this hospital. I went several days to the hyperbaric chamber. The team was the best one I've ever encountered in Czech Republic, doctors, nurses, technicians, everyone was nice, positive, polite, helpful, and dedicated. They took the time to explain everything to the patients, are nice and smiling everyday. For the first time I felt they loved their job for both the medical part and the human contact. Special thanks to Mila, the nurse who took care about me all along the procedure. Please do not change anything! And for the hospital in general please take this department as an example!

It’s really a very good hospital.
As I don’t speak Czech, it may be a problem in some places. But here it is very good. It’s like an international hospital. Everyone from the reception to the examination doctors all speaks good English. There is no problem with being treated. And the waiting time is not long at all.

If luck has turned away from you, as well as from me, and your appointment is with Jarmila Antusakova avoid it at all costs!
During my appointment she was unprofessional, arrogant and absolutely ignorant.
Examined my throat within 5 seconds, ignored all symptoms and health history and also my request to treat me with some efficient medicine that has proven result in the past.
Highly do NOT recommend!

P.S. the hospital itself is very clean and reception staff are very polite.

Going to a hospital is almost never a pleasant experience, however, I can only say positive things about this one. The care they provide is both professional and kind. For anyone in need of emergency care, I highly recommend this hospital.

Having lived in the United States for over 30 years and being accustomed to a certain level of care, I found the service I received at the Central Military Hospital in Prague to far exceed my expectations. This came after undergoing a poorly executed surgery for a tibial and fibular fracture at a regional hospital. The professionalism and friendliness of the medical staff at the Central Military Hospital, along with the quality of doctor-patient communication, was outstanding. I'm deeply grateful to Dr. Petr Krejci Jr., who accepted me on such a short notice and expertly corrected the initial mistake done at the other hospital. This high standard of care extended to the entire team, including the anesthesiologist, nurses, and even the housekeeping and catering staff. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire staff - thank you!
I highly recommend the Central Military Hospital in Prague.

I highly recommend this hospital! The best! As a tourist in Prague, I had to rush to this hospital because of a strong kidney pain on a Sunday evening. Everyone spoke English there and doctors and receptionist were all very calm and made you comfortable.

In my opinion this hospital is the closest thing to being in the US...except everyone speaks Czech.
The care, cleanliness and very modern facilities were top notch during my stay in the ORL section (ENT). Reserve your "nadstandardni" room ahead of time and don't forget you may also request "nadstandardni stravovani" as well. Nadstandardni means "above standard" not just for a room but also food. Charges are per day and due at time of being released to go home.
Check the UVN website for current price lists.
The above standard room included refrigerator/freezer, electric kettle, private bathroom, TV and some rooms are maximum 2 people.
Free internet throughout the complex although video calls and internet calling (skype, whatsapp)did not work on their network. No problem with streaming entertainment, however (Youtube, Netflix, etc).
Although no visitors are allowed during covid, you may be lucky and get permission to visit the canteen to purchase food or drink.
Staff do speak English although they may have to search for a speaker, your questions or concerns will always be attended to.
Perfect accommodations and personnel to help get you healthy and on your feet again.
Thank you, UVN and ORL dept in Bldg A!
