This trail does not lead to Castle Rock.
A nice portion of the North Country trail. The trail is well marked at the trailhead but if you want to follow the trail in the other direction it is not obvious where to go. You will not cross the street but look for an ATV trail. The only sign that it is the right trail is the blue trail markings.
We hiked about 3 miles in and 3 miles back. It was a very nice hike. There were a lot of mosquitoes.

Hidden gem of a trailhead in St. Ignace Michigan. Plenty of rustic trails for the adventurous.
June 2022: This is a nice place to hike through the woods. Well-maintained trail meanders through the woods. I hiked four miles (two out, two back). Mostly flat with a few ups & downs. Easy to access from I-75. Clear signage directs you to the two-mile dirt/gravel road to the trailhead. Ample parking. No restrooms or water.
Trailhead has quite a few parking spaces, nice start point for getting on NCT
