Awesome place. You have to go for a walk around 3 kms. That is the only drawback.

It was an amazing spot
.. It's near my home..
Chilling vibe..
Please take care of yourself..
The rocks are slippery..
This place is least explored and developed and one of the safest during the end of monsoon to cool off. Please avoid during rainy season as flash flood may occur.

Location of the water fall is about two kilometers further where the maps shown it. Not dangerous, but a difficult road as it has been paved with large boulders and its really a task driving two wheelers. If you are on two wheeler, park it where the concrete road ends and continue on foot. That would be a wise decision for you and for your vehicle. If you are on four wheeler, keep in mind that the road is narrow and at places, it will be difficult to go further if a vehicle came from opposite direction, which will be very rare, but can happen.

Need to understand that the rocks in the waterfall are slippery and there are some innocent looking cheat holes. Once trapped, there is no way out as the water drain in to potholes between huge rocks and seemingly disappear.

Also, there is no security or guides at that place. In case of a mishap, rush to local people, as there is no coverage for mobile.

I recently visited Sholayur and was disappointed to find a newly displayed board indicating that the area is now restricted and visitors should not venture to the waterfall. Having been to this picturesque spot before, I was eager to revisit and enjoy its natural beauty. However, upon seeing the warning sign in May 2023, I am compelled to advise against visiting this waterfall.

It's really a good place to spend your day peacefully. You should park your car or bike down near the concrete bridge and take a walk or hire a Jeep to go to the falls actually. We hired Jeep and I would recommend the same for others as it would make you tired for sure if you walk. It is around 3-4 km from the bridge to the Waterfalls location.

I have uploaded only the photos we took near the bridge. I didn't have the waterfall photos.

We went in the month of April 2023, the water level is considerably good for a family (10-15 persons) to enjoy 👍
