Small Japanese style garden, that seems operating by volunteers in memory of first Japanese settlers in Mayne island

There is not any water left during the time of our visit but still you can enjoy the peace and beauty of here.

Paradise on an already beautiful island. Best enjoyed while peacefully and quietly reflecting. Don't forget to make a donation on your way out :)

Very nice small garden. Don’t be fooled by its entrance. Much more beautiful inside!

Rarely give 5 stars- I think we came right at the perfect time the garden was just spectacular...they even had horseshoes out and golf clubs with balls at the ready...and a Frisbee for Frisbee golf :)

Beautiful plants and statuary. Worth the visit.

Not wheelchair accessible; scooter is ok if you can get off and walk over a few small bridges and roots while someone pushes the scooter.

Beautiful place to go year round but especially in the fall and around Christmas when they have holiday lights set up. Anyone who visits Mayne Island or should visit simply to spend a day at the park and gardens. A huge thanks must be given to all the donors and volunteers who made it possible. It is amazing that the community has chosen to honor the Japanese families that so wrongly were forced from their homes and I to camps during WW2. A dark time in Canadian history.
