We went to Van Meter Park to let homeboy stretch his legs and play a little ball.
The park is clean and very nice, quiet, and the trees were full of the changing fall colors. We went early on a Sunday morning, so there were no people around.
It's a nice park nestled in the neighborhood right on O'Callaghan and Fargo Way, off Sparks Blvd.

It's an ok neighborhood park. Parks are a great thing, but this one needs some love.
It's a cute little park. It wasn't too crowded when I took my kids last weekend. I try to switch up the parks so they don't get bored. If your the type of parent that likes to be active while your kids play on the playground this is a nice place. You can walk around the playground and around the field without having too much of a big gape if you have to run over to your kids.
Great park. Today was our 1st visit. Neighborhood kids were polite and conscious of the little ones. In fact, I picked up my husband, and we went back for another half hour! We will be back!
I love this little park, well maintained, lovely big trees for shade, paved path for walking. And if you lap it four times, you walked just a bit more than a mile.
This is a nice park. Walking distance to home. Basketball court. Large grassed area,lots of big shade trees. Covered picnic tables. Several benches around the park for watching your kids play on the jungle gyms, swings and slides. Small exercise course. Plastic bags available for dog droppings.
This park usually has teens drinking and smoking in the evenings. No public restrooms and picnic area could be much cleaner. The garbage cans are always overflowing. Traffic drives fast through this neighborhood so watch younger children so they don't run into the street.
