excellent. Like most venues in DC i'm mildly bummed at the lack of hot snacks, but that's not what this place is trying to be so I cannot hold it against them.
Staff: 5/5 polite, capable, reasonable.
Bathrooms: 5/5 Stocked, Clean, Fun Designs
Sound quality: 4.5/5 , some of the earlier sets weren't mixed as well as they could have been, too much bass, but when the "deadliner" came on, I didn't notice any issues whatsoever.
Aesthetics: 5/5 excellent, intriguing. This place is a haven for musicians, with instruments conveniently placed to noodle on. upstairs there is plenty of rail space to set your drink down, some hooks for your jacket, some stools.
Handicap accessible? um. Not exactly, there's no ramp, tons of stairs. The stairs going up are carpeted which gives plenty of grip, if that's important. the wooden stairs out back have some sort of anti slip thing which was super functional and great.

Incredible staff and atmosphere. You can tell they care about the people visiting their space and put lots of work in to make it the beautiful place that it is. 11/10 would go back
was here with a group of friends to catch a dj set last weekend and collectively spent around $6-700 at the bar. not a single one of our $15 drinks were mixed 😂😭 the venue itself is decent but ffs train your bartenders or get one that already knows what theyre doing
The pocket is a great venue to enjoy bands more intimately.
It is small in size but makes up for that in its quality of sound. Excellent soundproofing and quality of sound from the different musicians and vocalists.
The have a nice little bar with a solid selection of drinks and even some snacks.

Booked a show with the Pocket and it was a huge success!
The staff were warm and welcoming, very professional and they even helped with some of the marketing.
Would definitely recommend if you want to discover new talent and great ambience

Excellent, intimate venue without tiny venue sound. Love the drum-centric theme! Great staff! Decent selection of libations as well.
Great live music, you must absolutely go on a Tuesday night for Open Mic night. See 12 performances in one night! It is amazing to see all the undiscovered talent in the DMV here, and even some professional artist make a performanceas well! Truly a fun and memorable night!
