First Baptist Church

I attended the church service, and the annual meeting today. Sharon, Denise, and a member ( sorry I forgot your name) that gave me a ride back home due to inclement weather, are helpful and nice people. The elderly lady(I do not know her name) that served the salad, was very rude and unprofessional and have control issues. Because I have to stick to low-sodium dietary needs, I could not really eat the catered BBQ chickens with rice. I ate the little side salad. Even though, she eventually gave me the small plate of salad, she made a big deal of it. She refused to admit it, and totally disrespect and disregard my concerns of my dietary needs and not listening me. I find her attitude and behaviour totally unacceptable and not following God*s example by being compassionate and giving. In fact, the elderly lady cut me off, by ending the conversation. I had to subtly mentioned it during Pastor*s Gibson speech. I will never have her treat me so unethically ever again.

I have heard good news concerning the man of God and the sanctuary. Pls I am stranded here in Ontario. I was laid off from Nigeria🇳🇬. I need an accommodation pending when God will answer my prayers

FBC is a wonderful place with a wonderful experience and an awesome pastor. The congregation is welcoming and encouraging. My family moved house, yet we travel every Sunday morning to worship with FBC because it's a place to call true family. It's a place filled with love and God's glory. If you are looking for a place to call a home and hear the true word of God, chooce First Baptist Church Toronto.

Great place to worship; very welcoming atmosphere of praise, non-judgmental. The word of God is preached right with practical truth and the love from the pulpit to the pew and to the community at large is real. A very humble, committed and knowledgeable pastoral team.....from the very 1st day I stepped in here, till this day am happy to call this place my home church. So blessed to be part of this awesome family of God.

I just moved to Toronto from the Caribbean and came across First Baptist Church. I found it to be an awesome, down-to-earth church where the Word of God is alive and well. The pastor and the people are welcoming to persons of every race, religion, and personal persuasion, and truly provide a safe, supportive place to learn about the goodness of God and fellowship with warm, caring, and fun-loving people in the city of Toronto. Becoming a member of First Baptist Church has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The Wednesday night online Bible study sessions have truly been life-changing. At these sessions, the Word of God is thoroughly and skillfully dissected and discussed, and this provides useful insights to encourage, challenge, and support everyone in attendance on their individual journeys of faith. I am so glad I have found a place in downtown Toronto where I can grow spiritually. To God be the glory!

For several years I was a proud member of this church. I grew up in this church as a teenager. Continued to attend this church, throughout university and college. Even as an adult, long before Wendell Gibbs became the pastor. All it took was a terrible collision and COVID, Delta variant, which led to a near death experience, for this church to blow up my life. I trusted the leadership in this church, they took a vulnerable time of my life, and twisted the facts. Black leadership, who needs to feel above other black people. No worries, if you are white, you will be treated like kings and queens, it's called black internal racism. It is alive and well at this church. This church is led by a hypocrite patriarchal leader. If you want to be lied to, have your family destroyed then . I can't credit the church leader, for breaking a part family. They just added fuel, to the fire. It must be nice to cheat, lie and destroy, and at the end of the day, to know that no matter, how dirty your hands, are that you take no accountability, and get to count on someone, Jesus. Never looking at their own sins, but need to cast judgement and blame on EVERYONE ELSE. God forbid you have a good reputation, they will be there to tear it down, for you. My best advice, based on my personal experience. Go FIND GOD SOMEWHERE ELSE, SOMEWHERE REAL. To this day, my young daughter REFUSES to step foot into a church after the nightmare we experienced, in large part thanks to false information this church leadership spread about us. If you only care about a Sunday outing and social black event, then FBC, will do.

Great space, very anointed environment. The pastor was great... Very personable and funny! Thank you for hosting our friends and family for my sister's wedding.
