An absolute must do for nature lovers. Take lots of breaks and bring water but definitely work into your plans.
Phenomenal views of the river and forest.

The Wolf Willow Stairs have been one of my favourite spots for quite sometime now! Wether I’m going for a good jog, a bike ride or showing someone new around the city this is a spot I pretty much always try to get to as much as I can! Especially in the summer or fall time because it’s beautiful! 😍

Great view and the 200 steps to the top is a good addition to your morning run!

Also it's fun to ride down on a bike (when it's not busy of course). 😜 Oh and if you bring your bike when it's raining you can get some pretty awesome pics. 😎

2000 stairs, no wait 200 stairs although it feels like 2000. If you’re looking for a workout this is it. Burn those quads. When you’re at the top of the stairs the view is spectacular. This is a short walk from the Fort Edmonton Foot Bridge. I definitely recommend this place to see great views of the river valley and the North Saskatchewan River. No washroom facilities available here. Easy access to the river for fishing.

I love these stairs! The view is amazing. No matter what time, but the morning is my absolute favourite. I always see a owl there as well but always too dark too get a shot! As you can see I’m obsessed. I have almost 100 photos from here. It’s perfect

People do need too try harder too take their garbage too the garbage bins. 💚

The trail isn't that enjoyable. The path is mostly gravel and will make a mess of your shoes. The bridge has a few good views, but wouldn't recommend to continue past that. The path past that feels like walking on the side of the road. Don't use the stairs for working out, it is forbidden.

Although the climb will kill you, the view it SO worth it! This is hands down my favourite trail in Edmonton for that reason entirely. I highly recommend viewing it during all seasons to fully take in nature’s beauty.
Aside from the gorgeous view, the stair case is huge therefore if you want a great workout, wolf willow is your best friend. There are certain “sections” of the staircase that are steeper than others so you can take it easier or do the full death work out.
Also, if you are out of shape like me (Lol) you can always take a break as there are landings throughout the walk up.
Another thing to add with the beauty aspect is that the rocks leading into the creek right by the bridge at the bottom of the staircase, completely reminds me of being in the mountains. I feel like I am not in Edmonton at all!
