Quaint warm pub. PHENOMENAL beer list, including Heady Topper when I was there. I had a great beet salad special with salmon. Would definitely go back.

I went fro brunch with a friend, the waitress was super friendly and respectful. The food was fresh and delicious, I ordered stake and eggs, the stake was as I ordered, medium cooked, my friend ordered a salad with stake, it was so big she couldn't even finished. Amazing!!!

Service was exceptional, the ambiance is great. And the choices on the menu are very tasty. The reason why I gave this review, is that the temperature on their signature burger was not right, after two attempts. 25/75 burger had plenty potential and flavor, but bc the temperature was not to order it affected the presentation and the moistness.

They owned up to the issue, and we moved forward . I am definitely willing to come here again and if they can make up for it, I will amend my score.

We stopped here for dinner with some friends. Sitting in the dining room was a bit chilly & I didn’t remove my jacket or thick vest till after the appetizers were served & the fireplace was lit. My friends did mention that both restrooms were freezing. Our appetizers arrived in the appropriate amount of time. Both the cheddar cheese tots & spring rolls were miles in flavor & the dipping sauce was bland. The Pub salad was good with canned mandarin oranges on top, the Pastrami Rubin was on the smallish side (this may be do to where in the loaf of bread its at) with no sides to accompany it, our fiends enjoyed the rigatoni with meat sauce (shared the dish for an additional $2- fee). We will be back to try the onion soup.

This is our second time eating here. It was a delicious lunch. We had oysters, buffalo cauliflower, tuna tacos, shrimp tacos, and a burger. Service was prompt and courteous and all of our food was good. The fries and tots are deliciously crispy.

My wife and I really enjoy coming here (especially around Christmas they have some nice decorations)
the food is always delicious artichoke dip is 🔥 and their 1/2 off bottles of wine every day any time just sits right with me. The "25/75" burger and chicken sandwich are two of our favorites.

Connecticut really seems to be in love with the ski lodge, bougie pub vibes. That is by no means a negative, but I can think of close to 10 restaurants I've been to in the Danbury/Woodbury area that are similar in theme. Prime Pub is right by the chaotic meeting of Routes 7 and 84, and I imagine this is not a pleasant place to drive around in circa rush hour; luckily, I had the foresight to come for a weekday lunch. The interior is very spacious - high ceilings, oodles of high-top tables and plenty of room to roam. It's tough to feel cozy with so much space to work with, but this place masters that delicate balance well.

I decided to warm up the cheeks with the Strawberry Bourbon Smash ($12.50), featuring bourbon (of course), strawberry puree, lemon juice and rhubarb bitters. It was good, but not great - you can sense the potential, but it's lacking something to offset the sweet tartness (maybe ginger beer?). As a result, it reminded me a LITTLE too much of cough syrup. I thought the dried strawberry garnish was a nice touch and I might consider ordering it again, but I wasn't blown away.

For my entree, I went with the lamb burger (I think about $18.50) on the specials menu, which had feta cheese on it. The lamb was very tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the feta cheese complemented the animal. I ordered it medium rare and it was probably closer to medium, medium well. As a result, it was a bit dry but still a solid burger. The fries it came with were perfectly crispy - I was a big fan.

My dining companion had the prime Kobe patty melt ($15.99), which she said was cooked perfectly, medium rare, but the cheese was a bit tasteless and gooey. Her tater tots were excellent, and the vanilla creme brulee was good ($9), but slightly overcooked/dry. I thought the price point for all items was pretty on par for the area and restaurant type.

The service was excellent, no issues there. Our server was attentive/friendly and stopped by on a regular basis throughout the meal. The bathroom was clean and had one of my favorite public restroom features - the water pump faucets that remind me of Little House on the Prairie. As an aside, the handicapped stall was one of the best equipped I've ever seen, with four different bars to hold onto, as well as a conveniently located flush chain. I didn't have a use for that stall, but anyone who needs to should have a fine time of it.

Everything I sampled from the menu was on the verge of really good or great. Given that they have the intangibles down (namely the service and atmosphere), they're on the cusp of being one of the best destinations in the Danbury area.
