Absolutely fantastic!
I did the village and canoe tours with the guys and was extremely satisfied with both!
Especially the canoe tour, it was probably the greatest experience of my Costa Rica trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He has such a great passion for what he does and he could pass that to us beautifully.
Also we saw fantastic animals and birds, would def have stayed in Tortuguero longer and done a national park walk too!

Great company. We booked the boat trip from Moín, sunrise canoe tour and the night walk package which provided an excellent service and lovely memories at a good price. Our guide David was fantastic - very knowledgeable and experienced. Our guide Lily was excellent and we saw lots of wildlife in the jungle. 10/10 Would recommend.
The Canoe trip was a great experience. David, our guide, was able to teach us a lot about the wildlife with his knowledge. Thanks to the electric motor of the canoe, we were able to reach every conceivable corner of the national park quietly and sustainably. Thank you Roots!
Roots does various tours in Tortuguero. We did the canoe and turtle tour.
The canoe tour leaves early in the morning and is 3 hours. They have an electric motor so you don't need to paddle and won't scare the animals away. They provide you with binoculars and a poncho.
The turtle tour is amazing to experience. They are very cautious with the turtles.
The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. The best way to book a tour is to go to their office.

Excellent service. Canoe tour was great, David was really knowledgeable and everything was well organized. Silent electric motors on the boats really helped to enjoy the sounds of nature first thing in the morning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would go back here again.
We went on the Naturalist Canoe Tour with Roots. It was incredible. Our guide David was very knowledgeable. The boat had an almost silent electric motor which made it much easier to listen for animals and listen to David — some other similar tours use a normal boat motor which is very loud and so makes this basically impossible. I took these photos of some of the animals we saw. Would strongly recommend booking with Roots — they run a professional and competitively priced tour.
ROOTS is a young passionate and professional Team that brought us into the wild Tortuguero.
We had an amazing walk during the night in the national park, fun facts about the village and a wild canoeing tour in the early morning. With the changing weather, we could see a lots of different wild animals (crocodiles, basilicos, Caymans, frogs, turtles, lots of birds...).
The highlight was the night nesting tour on the beach. Our guide Raquel was inspiring and passionate about the turtle's life and habits. It was an unique experience.

We had an amazing walk during the night in the national park, fun facts about the village and a wild canoeing tour in the early morning. With the changing weather, we could see a lots of different wild animals (crocodiles, basilicos, Caymans, frogs, turtles, lots of birds...).
The highlight was the night nesting tour on the beach. Our guide Raquel was inspiring and passionate about the turtle's life and habits. It was an unique experience.
We highly recommend them,
